Hi All As subject says, thinking about making a Nin, but pretty much all confused about the class. For now, I have just random questions about the class. Clones - to cast them, HP need to be between 1 and 91%? (I.e. -90% HP won't do it, it has to be Below -90%) E.G. I have 3 Ganeis and a Schwartz (noUP). That's -120% HP; I don't even know what that means lol, but can you cast Clones with -120% HP? If you have xtals and gear that reduces Maxp HP, why is Bless a problem? My Glad has a Schwartz Up, and his HP is 'permanently' reduced by 20% and no amount of bless or div bless gets his HP higher than that new max. Gear Switching - plain and simple, Why? This I think is what confuses me the most. Assume I have a CRT/AGI nail user, wouldn't Ganei be a good xtal to stay with anyway? Why switch to something else? Ex. Gear: Koda2 Ganei, SchwartzUp Ganei, Horned Helm Up Ganei , Atleta Ring My CRT DMG would be relatively low, but my Atk would be pretty high, no? (max crit rate from Full CRT and *tech)
I'm sure I'll have more questions lol. but here's the first batch
TIA!

Only ninja with no Ganei will complain. Cause when they're blessed or receive warcry, they'll hp will increase hence it will be harder for them to clone. The trick with switching is you:say with your current gear with all Ganei, you only have 1HP. Desperate move requirement for it to be able to add 2 more clone is your remaining hp must be at least 90% of it. So if you don't switch gear. Yeah you get it. XD

Ah, so switching to another gear Is to get that Hp max up, without the actual Hp up (e.g. from -120%HP to -90%HP I would have 1/200 hp)? Thanks! That actually explains a lot lol. The gear change is not To a "better" gear but just something with higher HP Max possible.

XD I think I do, lol Let's say my Base (before gear/xtals) HP is 2000 W/ 3 Ganei and Schwartz Up, my HP is 1/1 (-110%HP) but that means I am actually Fully Healed (1 being max HP). If I switch to say ANY armor, I would lose the -50%HP from Schwartz+Ganei, and my hp will be ~1/800, which allows me to get the full 9 clones? I guess a bad bless tick Could get me past the 90% mark (if a tick gives me more than 79 hp)? If I switch to Iron Up, my HP would be ~1/1200 (-60% of (2000+1000)) and would need a bad bless tick of 119 to screw things up? Did I get that right?

^well yeah, a bad bless tick will really screw you. XD I do not know much about math and number bro. I am nub in a lot of ways. Hehe. But as per my experience, I use Seahorse Bangle to switch with Atleta. Sometimes, bless tick screws me if I switch gear too early.

Without removing any of the reductions, your max HP will only go up by so much Say your HP w atleta is 200/200, with 90% reduction (so base HP is 2000). Switching to S bangle gives you 200/350 (base HP of 3500). That's not even 60%?

This was my gear then:
Schwartz/Ganei Koda/Ganei Gring/Ganei Atleta Ring
That's 140% hp reduction.
When I remove Atleta and switch to Seahorse Bangle it becomes 1/1501? Use desperate move. Got 2 more clone.

Hmm I just tested on my Glad. Don't have S Bangle, but have Fishscale (+1000). With SchwartzuP, when I switched from Atleta to F bangle, my Max Hp went up by 800, so it was affected by the reduction.

Really though you can switch to anything you want when you are a ninja (provided that it does not have an item with HP reduction). I usually just switch between Gring/Ganei to Gourd/Schlingel which brings me back and forth between 1-800hp to make clones.
Equip Gring/Ganei (Swap) Schwartz/Ganei KodaII/BC Gourd/Schlingel (Swap)
So with using desperate move you need to be anywhere under 20% of your regular HP to make clones. Hence the equipment swap, so if you drop your HP below the 20% threshold you are golden whether from equipment/foods/fighting.
If you have xtals and gear that reduces Maxp HP, why is Bless a problem? As previously stated, for those that do not have the right equipment (bare minimum gring/blue ogre, schwartz, magical ring), their HP may be max for example 1/170 and if they get blessed, one tick puts them out of their under 20% threshold.
Gear Switching - plain and simple, Why? This I think is what confuses me the most. Assume I have a CRT/AGI nail user, wouldn't Ganei be a good xtal to stay with anyway? Why switch to something else?
Ex. Gear: Koda2 Ganei, SchwartzUp Ganei, Horned Helm Up Ganei, Atleta Ring My CRT DMG would be relatively low, but my Atk would be pretty high, no? (max crit rate from Full CRT and *tech) With this it's pretty much answered as you only need to swap in/out equipment that will drop/raise your HP. For the above equipment example, your CRT rate would be low, but the CRT damage would go up.
ie. Atleta raises ATK at the expense of -HIT rate. HHelm up would be ATK up by way of CRT. KodaII increases CRT damage 7%

I only use two ganei, Schwartz and g ring have them both. My hp is never messed up with bless (health needs to heal more than once, then I can't clone.) Even with Warcry 3 I can still clone, while not having 1 hp. All you need is to have lower than 10% hp to use desperate move. And they say crit rate is 95% max, and max crit gives that. If that's true then don't bother with tech abilities.
