Based off the guardian formula (thanks to miligrito for working this out) Guardian Lv2: (Current HP x 0.09) + ((((ATK - mobDEF) x 4) + (yourLvL - enemyLvL) + STR value + Weapon ATK value + RGN) x (1 x elemental bonus%)) HP does give more attack due to the fact that having 100k+ HP will simply out damage an ATK set, ATK has a higher effect however on being constant (times 4 compared to HP which is times 0.09) the higher your attack the more constant your guardian damage will be compared to being purely HP only. Guardian has a 2% HP recoil per every use of it so the more your hp decreases the less amount of output you will dish out with your guardian. Not 100% sure. But from my experience it really depends. Guardian gives true damage when using your HP. So an HP set can do more damage than an attack set. But at X point, X being your attack compared to the monsters defense, a pure attack set can outdamage an HP set. High defense monsters -> use HP. Low defense monsters -> use an attack set. Still learning learning but I was thinking of a 150K HP PLD (and even read about breaking the 200K mark). @ 9%, that's 13,500 dmg that ignores defense. Even without taking off MobDEF, you would need an ATK of 3,375 to even match that. Not sure if that's possible even if a PLD Build + Gear was fully centered on ATK? Guess Party make up (or lack thereof) comes into play; if you don't have a bish or bish is not topping you off, you don't see max Hp all the time and would alter the dmg numbers. Per my assumptions the atk gear will only be good versus dark. This until we can make our atk values or atk+% xtals high enough to beat hp20. K piltz and douin will be harder to beat. 0.

Anyone know how much dmg we're talking about with Mirage stone? My PLD gear is on loan to my HW while I run him around doing MQ (nice def + 10K HP w 1 vit LOL), but wouldn't mind getting this if it's close to 100% cut

What does rate cut do? I've been wondering that for a while now...

What does rate cut do? I've been wondering that for a while now... Supposedly affects crt dmg (from bosses). Not sure how accurate that is; maybe just any crt dmg? Could not find post, but IIRC MiLiGRiTo said he tested it and didn't seem to work (or not very well)

What does rate cut do? I've been wondering that for a while now... From my tests i can conclude that this helps reduce damage against instant critical hits such as vararia's blizzard or dooms special move. I might have to test again to see whether rate cut also affects parry rate as well, but it definitely helps against instant KO hits from my tests.

It doesnt reduce damage to 1 though lol (unless parry is added to the equation), but when i was doing it with megas at first I was receiving 1-2k damage on average, but with it the damage from megaroche was reduced to 100-300 damage. Parry + mirage stone's effect can be triggered at the same time when i used it.

Thanks! May have to try it out HW still gets crunched during runs lol
P.S. I'll post later after I check but you can add Orichalcum ring as part of the HP Set in Special. Adds 15%-17% (Almost positive it gave more HP than KG but will double check)

I assume it only negates around 5 to 10% because i find It hard to tell the difference with or without the stone. this Is unlike fortis that drops my damage taken to: 1k+ magic, 1dmg regular, 50dmg crit. which Is very easy to see.

I'm talking about non buffs and just gears. It might be due to the gears you use what did you use? My gear set for this test was: Wound transer +8 Idealsol +8 Licht Armor +8 Knight Gauntlet Mirage stone On average without the buffs and mirage I took 1k damage on average. I'll try to upload the screenshots to show. But yeah it might've been the gears you are using lol EDIT: SS 1 without buffs or mirage stone SS 2 with mirage stone without buffs SS 3 with buffs and mirage stone

Mirage stone doesn't display its hidden effect of reducing damage btw in the battle log. I don't know if its dependent on any particular stat aside from needing 50mp for it to proc. all I can say is that it does reduce damage and it's proc happens 100% of the time
