I would recommend sitting beside your router if you are placing an xtal in(Lol).

OT=A guildie of mine had their Isurugi xtal disappear from their inventory for no reason and the next day or 2,the Isurugi xtal reappeared.

I would think the only reasonable cause is packaging error due to connection being halted halfway thus causing error.But I don't think the xtal will disappear,as it will be considered as an error within the client side which causes server to resend the package containing information before the action was taken.

Example:-
1.You open xtal menu in equip and attempt to place it in.Package sent.
2.You disconnected from the game as you are placing the xtal.Package arrives to the client side but no responds were given and is considered as an error.Server recalls the package and resent the previous package.Consider it as an undo.
3.Tadaaaa,xtal is intact,most of the time.
