I corrected my last post because I wrote it in a hurry and made some errors. Sorry about that @evelynn

Results from my latest try with cultivation
Planted:
Fruit seed + pure water Got Grape Watered every day Harvest available every 2-3 days since day 6 "It can be Harvested normally" => Result: Sour Nut x1 "It can be harvested at last" => Result: Grape x1
Grain Seed + Pure Water/ Fallen Angel's Tears Got Wheat Harvested on day 4-5 only when it said "It can be harvested at last" Result: wheat x5, no seeds, Planter empty afterwards
Grain Seed + Flower Nectar Leafy plant, nothing grew Withered on day 4 Result: Plant seed + Colon Leaf
Island objects used:
Mini Snowman x 1 Mini Cactus x 9 Wok x 1 Purple Zabuton x 2 Bronze Candlestick x 10 Block x 21
Next time i will add more earth elements to see if i can get a bigger harvest from grain seeds.

Planted 3 pots with Grain seeds, used Sweet syrup as fertilizer, watered every day Withered in day 5 with NOTHING to harvest, had to dispose plant
Removed all blocks from island, left 10 gold cutlery, 10 gold candlesticks and 7 mini snowmen. Will see what happens..

I placed 5 mini haniwa in the island, in addition to the objects i said before. Harvested 6 wheat instead of the 5 from previous test. No change in fruits harvest.
Will test again, but conclusion so far:
- All earth, nothing will grow - Earth raises harvest for grains
Will try adding even more earth and see if it still works. Im always harvesting on day 4, if that makes any difference.

I forgot to mention I've already started the tests on my island. I got 2 extra planters from the item shop, so I can plant one grain, one vegetable, and one fruit seed simultaneously. I'm going to use 20 zabutons and fertilize each planter with pure water for each test except 3.
I've started my first test with 20 purple zabutons and 3 planters (grain seed + pure water, fruit seed + pure water, etc) I've also been tracking my pet's affinity/stamina and am going to feed them the same thing each test. I am also tracking which strays show up on my island.
Red Zabuton - 1 Fire Blue Zabuton - 1 Water Yellow Zabuton - 1 Earth Green Zabuton - 1 Wind Purple Zabuton - 1 Darkness
Of course I'm not 100% sure that these stats for the island items are correct, so I'm planning on testing them. I'm going to try putting 20 purple zabutons on my island and then do another test with 20 Silver Cutlery (also 1 dark element?) and see if I get the same results. The JP wiki says they're both 1 Dark element, but I want to double check, since their info on some items is a bit off.
Since there is no zabuton that gives 1 light element, I will use 20 Gold Cutlery, that is, if the previously mentioned test works as planned and silver cutlery and purple zabutons give the same element.
After I've tested all of the elements, I will try 20 of each zabuton and 20 gold cutlery (I hope I can, I forgot the maximum amount of items you can put on the island).
Thanks for listening to my blabbering lol.

Namitsuki it is still unconfirmed if earth attribute raises the harvest of grains. I have done much research into the matter. @evelynn thank you for the tedious testing you are conducting with those different island objects. I would do it myself but I maxed the island object limit with random things. Maybe i should test with a spare island... Need more objects then x.x But with my random stuffs I harvest over 60 wheat/rice at first chance of harvest (with a full harvest) but very little from fruits. Maybe 10 cocoa (with a full harvest) I haven't tried vegetables recently so I don't know. Also, my kijimu gains 85 exp from daily training where as my colon and mani gain 90 exp. Kijimu and colon are supposed to both be earth but clearly they are different in some way.

When doing cooking, is it good to buy the planters? ~o.o (saved 300 coins incase....) Many items in cooking use fruits, vegetables, and grains that can only be obtained through planting on your island. But as you can see things like fruits take almost a month to grow so using those items to level up cooking is not recommended. I save up all my items and use them when I know there is a good item I want to make for personal or friend use. Although, with an island full of objects I get lots of wheat and I did use some to level up cooking in the high levels. There comes a point where it's really hard to level so I recommend getting an isle full of objects and getting wheat and keep growing it for later use. Also, recipes that use wheat/flour/bread are usually awesome. You can get wheat seeds by growing wheat and not harvesting it until it begins to whither but always water it. I have a few seeds if you'd like to buy them to get started on wheat but if not you can make grain seeds (and the others) in alchemy production. (You don't need to level alchemy)

I'm absolutely sure you can water a withered plant. It won't bring it back to normal but it will increase the harvest from so so to normal if you give it a day or two. I'm trying to figure out if you can still get a full harvest from a withered plant but it hasn't happened yet.

That should be the first day it starts to whither and the first day it will give seeds. Also, with grains, they can only be harvested from once before you must plant again.

I've always said that it is unconfirmed that earth attribute increased the harvest yield of grains and I think that proves that they aren't connected. It might be a different attribute or combination of attributes. I have a mix with items from the item shop and they do me very well. I do have a good number of in game island objects from mobs and events and some prod.
