Sorry all, this is not really an Iruna issue but I am getting desperate, so hoping someone may have an idea I can try. My L205 HW Sotera is on my son's AppleID account, which was the original account on his iPad. Last Sunday, after switching accounts (I have 7 rotating on 3 devices) Sotera's account suddenly encountered this issue. After a Full reset, when starting to Restore back up (after proper login), it would go for about 30 seconds and then I get this message "Cannot Restore backup" with no other messages. I have 3 backups available for this and All of them are getting this message Attempted fixes: Restore on another device (mini iPad, iPhone 5s) - nothing Setup as New iPad - it works, in that all apps that belongs to the account is there but once I re-load those apps, no progress showing up. So Iruna is showing me a "Create Character" window damn thing almost gave me a heart attack! NO iTunes backup (stupid me!!!) Restore on different WiFi - nothing Posted issue on Apple forums - nothing yet. 8.1.1 came out today, and if I update the iPad, those backups will be screwed!!!! Any thoughts/ideas, please???

this happened to me too before and I seriously freaked out until I solved it so first things first okay so this is an iPad, and you didn't update yet so some quick questions these alternating accounts, they alternate between three devices. but this one started on its own Apple ID and was started on this iPad correct? it doesn't make sense that it's giving that error but if you don't have a backup that it will allow you to restore to properly, did you backup to iCloud? also, I you update to iOS 8.1.1 can't you still choose the backup you want from a list, if so, shouldn't it restore it as if it was a backup made right before any other update? i was without my iruna data for a month trying everything, but in the end i tried restoring from my most recent iCloud backup and all my iruna data was there again instead of the create a character ... In exhausted so I'll try to be more helpful.

Unfortunately, this device has NO iTunes backup I'm scared of updating to 8.1.1!!! I did read that 8.1 may be what's casuing this problem as 8.1.1 is supposed to fix some WiFi issues for iPhone 4 and iPad2 (which I believe what my iPad is) P.S. I am now finding that Another AppleID is having similar issues, but I am able to access a backup from Nov 2; anything later (Including one for Nov 15 like the original problem) won't load either. Thank you for the response!

*sigh* spent two hours at Apple store getting help but no luck. They couldn't even tell me what the problem was other than that the account itself got corrupted. So lost a L205 HW and a new L130 app bush:( Working on new HW but still need to figure out how to do iTunes back up of multiple ID on same iDevice

what firmware are you on at the moment sorry I've been MIA I actually ran into some issues with a cheap droid I bought and it keeps giving me invalid signature errors when I try to restore from cwm. anyway, let me know if you're still on iOS 8.1 8.1.1, the latest. This problem occurred right before 8.1.1 was published, and I tried (and tried, and tried, and tried... ) fixing the problem before updating to 8.1.1. Even tried updating one devise but not the other and still no luck. So far, the only thing I could think of is a game that both accounts share (and it's the only one, since one account only has TWO games on it; iruna and the other) which may have corrupted the accounts for what ever reason. I've pretty much moved on and created a new HW. I don't know if I will create a new Bish again... Thanks for the reply!
