I never understood the crit rate +5/+5% thing but I'm looking for some help lol I'm going a no crit class but I still want crit rate so i won't constantly miss while I'm putting in my stats before dex @_@ if I have Xihpos (+30), Dunk up (+15), and Aulis Gale(+20), and Tech level 4 on add(+20 working on five which would be +25) that would total to crit rate+85-90 would that translate to 85% chance of hitting crit or am I being optimistic >.<

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's that. Unless it's +5% of whatever crit rate is at 1 crit.

If all the numbers r solid n not % ur right. And about the 5/+5% crit rate thing. say u have 50 crit rate. if its just a +5, ur crit rate is 55. if its +5% its 50 x .05 = 2.5 meaning ur crit rate is 52.5. so basically a solid number > a percent.

BTW, everybody starts with a base crit rate of 5 and the cap of crit rate is 95.

Does this just apply to critical attacks?

OK, let me rephrase, lol Has anyone actually tested to make sure these added a % and not a solid amount?
I mean 50% + 5% = 55% vs 50 *1.05 = 52.5% is not exactly a a humongous amount to actually see the difference, especially since we're talking about the Chance of something happening.

If you mean Crit Rate, get flat rate not the percentage one. The best one is the Lost Knight xtal which gives +25 Crit Rate. If you are using Xiphos, and Dunkelheit, you can use Voluntas as your addgear which gives crit rate and bonus in pair of Dunkelheit. Another option is Aulis Gale which gives crit rate and evasion (physical and magical). For special equipment, the only thing that comes to my mind is Mermaid Jewel(crit rate+5/crit damage+5%) and Dragon Arrow(Increase crit rate base on int when using bow, good for magic bow users).

Btw, your crit damage only deals 1.5x of your normal damage if you don't have any crit stat points or any critical damage+ items. 90+ Crit rate is already good if you just want your attacks to hit mobs.
