Hi I'm Falu and I tried playing Iruna again. I played Iruna back when where Ninjas weren't revamped and raids were still a thing. If I remembered correctly, back then I was boosted right after joining the game, was invited to a guild, and was donated good stuffs just within a hour or two, and I was greatly overwhelmed as of what's happening. Soon I researched the game, of course in a not in-depth (casual) manner and decided to be a ninja, after a week I quitted.
So to cut things short, it wasn't really a memorable start game-wise and I don't have any significant information on hand that regards to the game I just killed monsters randomly completely disregarding the MQs. But aside from that I had fun talking to different people in my guild. Since then Iruna captured my heart(cheesy) of course let be honest the game has so much content to offer that it's already overwhelming, in my eyes it's very interesting.. After some years here I am again. This time I tried and researched various things and avoided things like donations and lvl boostings so that this time it may possibly become worthwhile.
So until now, here are my experiences:
At first it was just a punch of nostalgia and decided to redownload the game again.
I joined again last year (2021), where coincidentally the Item shop was offering a Stormia pet pack(free) so it piqued my interests again and decided to perhaps start a new adventure. I browsed upon forums and forums on how to start the game, in short to make me somehow and somewhat familiar of it. Since I decided to play it I invested on buying Stalls. Then after sometime, I tried playing and let me tell you it was the roughest early game in any MMO I have ever felt. I was clueless. I died and died again. Created and deleted characters to try different jobs, made myself familiar on stats and things I can exploit early game, like of course the available side-quests which got really dimmed since no one documented them on supposedly "GUIDES" on forums. Not like I blame them anyway. That being said I wasted a lot of time in this pattern. Searching for the best class whatsoever. (You know your classic newbie dilemma) Started creating and deleting them to try different possible paths. So to stop this cycle I decided a project for myself.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GUIDE, I'm only telling my experiences and how I dealt with the game. Since I'm on a break a spared a lot of time playing the game.
So now it leads to this:
I decided a Zero to Hero project where I have to solo everything, procure materials myself be it quest or production (of course I'll be trying to max it too), and to basically reach end-game but solely through my own efforts. I know it's kind of nuts but I seriously want to try it.
To start it of, Just like I said prior, I tried playing different and considered many jobs to play, but all of them halted at the 2nd-tier job phase. (Knight/Hunter) (Wizard/Clerics) and to be honest I really had a hard time in this. So I just basically chose the aesthetics that I fancy, which is bow, and thus decided to be a Hunter and will be aiming to be a Sniper soon (currently lvl116).
My game plan was take it slow, and do some productions as I progress along the way.
Here are the steps that I took:
First of all I deliberately assigned [50 Vit] on my character (as a Hunter) and believed that it was necessary for survival, and will be Maxing Dex -> Str -> Crt in this order, and so far it's all good. Since you will be relying on trash equipment offered by the early game map and quests having those VIT are good for the gameplay.
Levels 1-50 wasn't a problem. Because of the +XP% given by the weapons, leveling became a breeze.
I decided to stop my MQ at Ferzen (and still remained untouched even now) and this is where I gained my first few hundred thousands/million. I farmed the h*ll out of this guy. and was able to produce MeleeDef5, Vit5, and HP5 abis, and this took a lot of time. I haven't use any Orichalcum on this. I only used Mythril and damascus steels. How you wonder?
Rokoko has many sidequests. These includes ore rewards such as, Hematite, Damascus Steel and Mythril. So I stocked atleast 10 Mythrils for a lvl 5 armor, and persevered only using Damascus steel and Mythril.
(NOTE: I deliberately avoided to use the MIne Mythril method at Port spargas.)
Here are the sidequests:
Blacksmith' Hobby Side Quest
Requirement: Lvl 35
Defeat 30 Gargoyles and bring the treasures they drop back to Mash
Objectives: Gargoyle x30
Rewards: 5 200 exp, Damascus Steel x3
Mash the Blacksmith - Rokoko City
Mine Goblins Side Quest
Requirement: Available after the mission [Mine Disaster]
You must slay 30 Goblins in Rokoko Mining Village/Tunnels
Objectives: Goblin x30
Rewards: Hematite x2, Mythril x1
Man - Rokoko Mining Village
(Note: This is by chance)

As of now, I am currently keeping of the Vit5 and Hp5 armor, but I sold the MeleeDef5 armor for a whooping 350m spina. And it was a remarkable feeling, selling your first hard-earned items. Through that I was able to kick-start my Iruna life. Because of that spina, my production tools are covered, together with potions, vaccines and pickaxes that I'll ever need.. But still the fact that I'm still wearing tutorial gears is still there, and just like the project states I will farm everything, buying from another players is prohibited.
During that time my equipment is (Beginner Bow, IronArmor[Vit5], Hachigane, Tillia's talisman) and so I farmed for my equipments, and let me tell you BOWS are very great early-game because most of the Elemental-bows can be farmed, and I was surprised too. Before I went out, I tried to level up until 80, and I was just farming warms, hoping for a lava guard 2s and unfortunately I got none. But still all is good, after leveling up I decided to take the specs that will be useful for me during early game. The reason you have to be lvl 80 is because you will be needing to be a full-fledged hunter as a pre-requisite to accept a certain side-quest.
Yet again this is in the form of side-quests:
Here they are:
Various Arrows Side Quest
Requirement: Must be a Hunter
Objectives: Broken Staff x50, Bird Feather x30, Hellish Scale x10, Fire Bead x6
Rewards: Fire Arrows x1
(Just remember that the objectives will vary depending on the element that you will be choosing to get. These quest offers 4 different elemental arrows.[Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water] +adding 10% damage if you're using the right element on a certain mob, with a certain element.)

After acquiring these specs, I set out to farm for the bows.
These are the list of bows that I acquired:
Flame Bow (Fire element) - Itzamna (if im not mistaken) can be found on scorch tunnels and I was able to get a 2s in here, farmed for 3 days (4hrs a day).
Wing Bow (Wind element) - Sturm
Icicle Bow (Water element) - Lichet
Titan's Bow (Earth Element) - Burnos
Compund Bow (Neutral) at least soon to be if it becomes Recurve Bow, you can try to get 2s since you can 1 shot this mob - Molbrosch
Centipede (Dark Element) - Dark Knight (Note: at Teschen highlands where Zolban is at)
Tiel's Bow - Kady's side-quest yet again at DIel Village, I use it as my OTG Bow together with the Beginner Bow that was given at tutorial.
Tiel's Bow
ATK: 68
Selling Price: 1,100
DEX+12
ASPD +10% DEX +12
irunawiki.com/item/Tiel's%20Bow
after all this ordeal, I refined my equipments to +5 since that's where the safe threshold for Damascus steel is. And now I'm at my lvl116 after achieving all of this. In addition, I kept a Dark Headguard, Chainmail, and a Headguard for future use all 1s.
Since they offer Good stats later on.
Moreover, I have leveled my Production on each area to lvl 10-11.
So my stats as of currently are are 50 Vit, 256 Dex, 50+ Strength
It was a very hard, long and very tiring Journey and I enjoyed every moment of this. For those who read this, thank you. I would like to hear/read advices on what equipments should I have in mind as a progression route, like for Armor and Additional, since I believe that my Weapons are already sorted out. Once again, Thank you I'll try to update my journey, I know not anyone will read this, but it's for myself where I can look it up back for memories sake in the far future.
Kudos Everyone! Take care.
PS: For those who are wondering, I am not a free2play player. I invested on a stall, and bought 3 Pet slots to accommodate the game's free pet gifts.
(Stormia, Santa Piton, Colon, and Oritius). But I didn't bought any tickets or used any books to enjoy the free2play RNG aspect of the game.
So to cut things short, it wasn't really a memorable start game-wise and I don't have any significant information on hand that regards to the game I just killed monsters randomly completely disregarding the MQs.
