Hello all, Lurker here!
Well, I was doing a playthrough of Kingdom Hearts II and when I finished I decided to play a bit of Iruna, checked the Party Group Chat and helped a newbie with Plazuda and noticed that the music for the map sounded a bit familiar. After listening to it I noticed that it sounded eerily similar to "Sacred Moon" (The World that Never Was Theme) and wanted to share. I'm curious how everyone feels about this, especially because I remember some years ago someone posting about how some music from Iruna was taken or "inspired" by other RPG's. Also if anyone knows of any other themes in Iruna that are similar to other pre-existing themes could you post them here too? I'd love to hear them!

Oh wow... I played KHII a long time ago, and I never noticed that. The song sounds extremely similar, very very similar... KHII wins cause it is like 3 years older than Iruna.
BTW, do you have found any other case like this?

Lurker, I am using a music recognizer and I found this:
Compare that to Ronfa Mountains OST.

Lurker, I am using a music recognizer and I found this: Compare that to Ronfa Mountains OST. This is really interesting, this definitely has some of Ronfa Mountains in it! Though it maybe possible that Edwards may have used Ronfa Mountains as a base for this piece. I looked into it and it looks like this was made in 2014, about 6 years after Iruna's inception. Still, nice job in finding this!

Well...I randomly ended up finding another song that was similar to an Iruna one, though there's a cavet. I was in the middle of installing a vst for FL Studio and the keygen that's used for it contains a melody that is really similar to Guevol Fortress from Episode 2! Gonna try and scour the internet to find a name for it. Edit: Well, I currently can't find any information on the theme but I did find a YouTube video that has the theme so you all can listen to it and compare!
Edit 2: From EAZY WEAZEE on Youtube: "For anyone wondering, this track is by video game composer Yasunori Mitsuda. This ones from Xenogears titled "One Who Bares Fangs at God". It's actually the track for the final boss in that game lol"
and for comparison Guevol Fortress

As an art an philosophy enthusiast I must add that in modern times there's no such thing as an original idea.
You'd have better luck winning the lottery than making an original song in any form.

I don't know if this actually sounds similar or I just want this to be similar but in Episode 2's 2nd Palace, the theme sounds a bit similar to Infinity by Stratovarius.
Here's the links for comparison...

Yo!
I found another theme that (kind of) sounds similar to an Iruna OST. It's Elgin Wells - Mirage; Lede Lake's OST sounds, at least, inspired by it but I honestly feel like there's an Iruna map theme that I'm just missing. Mirage sounds really close to SOMETHING, but I just can't put my finger on it! Maybe you guys can help?
