And another question, which set is ideal? I've seen different sets on Krish's guide (tysm for it) I have my eyes on the resistance set but I think the counter set is much better? Need opinions on this please. I don't want to waste spina 😄 ***And if you want to know why I want to change to alchem as high wizards are always welcome on parties than an alchem is that I want to solo more and in my opinion 80% of high wizards now are freaking sh, and they are most welcome in parties than a none sh high wizard😊 *cough* 3i *cough* Thank you all in advance 😉 In my opinion resistance set is much better than negate DMG counter set. With counters you're playing with the RNG, one time it doesn't proc and you're dead; also autoskill abi's are pricey. Meanwhile with resistance set you can even go afk for a bit while fighting a boss and nothing terrible happens. If you want to solo, you could just get a resistance set (for bandersnatch) and stay HW. It depends on your preferred play style. I personally use my HW for almost all my boss farming needs and use my alchemist just for production(I think if I'd farm using my alch I'd spend more on catalysts than earn from selling the drops lol).

Hello! I'm currently a level 309 high wizard, and alchemist just recently caught my attention. And just like the other thread I'm planning to change too, but I'll level my prods first before changing tho so I can farm the mats easily. And I have a problem on my gears and al's as they are mostly matk+ (g/b ouvel, sauro ii, bergen, jusal and cheltil) and my equip are the common high wizard equip (tellas ii/uni ii, strugg etc.) and my stats are overcap int and dex, cap vit and 120 crit. And I have 39 free stat left. I want to ask if I can keep my stat and al's and don't change it? Or even the al's because they are expensive af now and I might break them all if I'll extract them. Reason is I mostly see alchem using resistance al's and int dex vit build. So I'm a little worried about changing too. And another question, which set is ideal? Although the 120 crit might take a bit of a toll as the spell burst passive is only for High Wizards, you can still thrive on the stats you have mainly. Not only this but you can get more production success with Cooking (about +4.8% to be exact). About which set is optimal, it is as NightBreeze has said, resistance set. You will take blows but you won't get as much damage from it, and there are only few factors that affect your ailments but nothing much changes anyways. Great for soloing bosses or Mission Quests.
If you're in a PT however, and want to play the best role possible for your class... It will depend on if you have a Tank or not. I would say Cast + Poison Set for playing the Front Line Damage role. You use the cast set to get on those ailments in a swift manner then can switch to your poison set to gain the benefits of more poison ailment damage. The amazing thing about these two sets as well is that it is not very costly at all. If there is a High HP player/Tank in your PT you can still heal for 22% of their MaxHP and aid whilst using the poison/cast set. The problem with Resistance set in PTs is that it is not likely you will be able to tank because your hate will only come from the attack skills that you use and the ailment damage, which is not effective in comparison to classes like Ninjas, High Wizards, Gladiators and so on that will get up close and nasty with the enemy alongside getting a considerable amount of Hate. Even the support classes can take up a good amount of hate in a short bundle of time.
TL;DR: Stats are okay, Resist set is optimal for Solo/Mission Quests, and I would recommend Cast + Poison Set for playing Damage role.

(MATK also increases Meteor and burn damage but nothing worth it...)

Thank you all so much! You're all very helpful 😄, hopefully before this year ends I'll be able to change to alchemist, I already got alchemy to 100's, carpentry to 50's?, smithing and chasing to 20's (i hate both of them 😑). I'm going to keep everything still, like yazmat said that I can still keep them for matk damage and I'm a little near getting my second page of apos maybe I'll just put my resist al's there, so I won't need to extract my matk al's. ***And nightbreeze I'm actually quite bored on playing high wizard now because of cheaters and I'm actually planning to quit anytime soon but alchemist caught my attention so yeah I decided to do prods than to grind and boss farms and I'm quite busy in real life to make another account and leveling prods is such a pain. So I just decided to switch when I cap alchemy and level carpentry and smithing to at least 90's. Thank you all again! Becoming an alchemist excites me now😆 Know that even if Alchemist looks pricy at first, leveling all those productions can make you rich
