Alchemist is a Special Occupation which is found in Elban.
You must be level 100 to have access to the quest [The Principle of Alchemy]. Completing this quest will change your occupation, so do understand the consequences!

Alchemists are a class that uses their catalysts created from either production or brought from the fellow Alchemist, Vafardo, to deal damage against monsters by the power of ailments and spells. Overall I think they serve best as the Damage Role/Front Line Support, but this does not mean they can't play other roles too.

A dark element magic attack with a chance of absorbing damage you deal to foes.

Reflection (Active)
A dark element magic attack with a chance to deflecting damage back to your foe.
SLv1 - Obtained through the occupation change.
Mana Mastery (Passive)
A book of magic tactics that raises MATK.
SLv5 - Obtained through the occupation change.
Enchant (Passive)
Adds a bonus to your ATK based on your INT

Raises target's defense based on their INT

Move fast using stamina and magic energy. Decrease MaxHP & MP and make movement & attack speed faster. (MaxHP&MP-5%, ASPD+20%, CSPD+5%, Movement Speed+?%, lasts two minutes.)
SLv1 - Obtained by a Skill Quest given by Vafardo. (Lv.300)
You have a test which is pretty easy, you have to bring an item to King Elbano within two minutes to complete the test. You are then awarded Accelerate upon turning it in to Vafardo.
Meister (Passive)
Proof that the result of your training was recognized. For recipes where Production Lv. is significantly lower, restrictions on batch production become unrestricted. (Strengthening equipment and making equipment can now be batch produced if they are <=10 levels from your production level. This does not work for certain recipes.)

The secret to turn the enemy's grief into power. The secret that the power changes depending on the number of ailments occurring in the enemy.

In battle against bosses, I would use the skills in this rotation for optimal damage:
Smog/Drain - Drain/Smog - Kill Throw - Venom Bomb - Meteor Impact - Cursed Rain - Mana Bullet - Bloom Blizzard - MATK Set - Grief Chain - Support/Switch Set to Poison/Burn Set.
This skill chain is best for survivability. However, if you are looking to get quick damage output, then you could follow this:
Smog - Venom Bomb - Meteor Impact - Cursed Rain - Kill Throw - Smog - Drain - Mana Bullet - MATK Set - Bloom Blizzard - Grief Chain Set - Grief Chain - Swap to Poison/Burn Set.
Of course, in the end it all comes down to your playstyle, and the bosses can change this up greatly as well.
All skill books come to a grand total of 88.1 million spina.

{What Mobs to Hunt?}Any mob is okay since Alchemists have an array of AoE spells to use at their disposal. Bosses that have no resistance to ailments are great for Alchemist as well if you're looking to go farming for items.
