I usually use android phones when playing iruna from s5, s7, & s7 edge all for my same account via same email to recover my account. However now for the first time In my life I'm using an iPhone. And from my understanding it uses backup data or something regarding iCloud. Due to this even though I'm linked to iCloud with the same email I'm unable to access my characters. If I where to make a new character on my iPhone would it delete my characters linked to my email? I don't mind making a new character but not if it jeopardizes all of my work and purchases from iruna by overwriting it or something. Would anyone happen to know if it is just considered to separate accounts? One by iCloud the other by email?

No iPhone and iOS are not linked in anyway in Iruna

So if I make an account on my iPhone it wouldn't delete my characters tied to my email used on android?

Nope not at all on I phone it's attacked to your device not even your iCloud email so if you loose your device and do not have a backup made logging into your iCloud email you would still have no character so make sure on iOS you always have ENCRYTPED backup

Alright that's good to know. So It would be treated separately. An account on my device for iphone. And an account through email for Android. If I'm understanding you correctly.
However for iphone i have to back up my account somehow? Extremely new to iPhone in general so it's all pretty foreign to me. x.x

Yes you HAVE to backup using iTunes on your pc and once in iTunes you MUST click the encrypted backup option if you backup with out that option checked it won't backup Iruna
