So.. I sometimes get bored of lvling my bishop and when I do get bored, I end up sitting around and doing nothing for hours. Is it worth the time and effort to start doing prod when I'm lazing around? If so, which one is best to start with or what order should I start in?
I know prod can make people rich, but that's kind of not my aim lol. I'm just aiming to keep myself invested in Iruna and trying not to go into another month + hiatus.

Yes, it is worth the time. It keeps you entertained, makes you revisit maps from our newbie times, you get people spamming emotions to join you and asking why you are mad, it's lots of fun.
Cooking and alchemy are the easiest. Carpentry and chasing can be a bit boring at the start. Tailoring is fun from start to finish, it starts easy and gets harder and more integrated with the other productions. Smithing is the most challenging through out.
Hope those descriptions help you decide where you want to start

I started with Alchemy and made Gold Dust from Lvl 0. I ended up at Lvl 5 where I couldn't get anymore exp. xD I kind of mined too much rock so I disposed of them (5+ stacks o3o). I made about 3 and a half stacks of Gold Dust, which I put into storage. I think I probably afk clicked for like an hour + lol. xD Yes, it is worth the time. After getting to lvl 5 in alchemy with Gold Dust, I will start farming Piltz for mushroom cap. I already have a few stacks of Giant Flower so I thought why not go ahead and make some Remagic (M). The only thing I hate is that Piltz spawns really slow... o3o

Production might be the most enjoying part of this game. This is the only thing I see progress excluding the other things. Well yeah we raise lvl caps but still the same, we'll just grind for it and hopefully waiting for new skills. While in the other hand, when you lvl prod its fun to see that you can create sort of items that only you (producers) can make it. Another thing, noticed that when you dive deep into production you'll be unconciously aware where to get this and that as time goes by. Simply to say you almost know where to find the items without asking or searching. The fun part is you are tend to try all the recipes (that are new to your eyes) Thats the thing I've gathered or atleast learned while doing production I will exclude the aspect of spina because like it or not you will earn from it by default Also doesnt matter what to start among the 6 but I advise to do it in chronological order to be efficient in lvling. You can start carpentry before alchemy til you get the white paper recipe then use white papers to level alchemy all the way to cap.

I was looking at the ingredients and was thinking to myself, "Okey, this item is pretty easy to get. I can just take my 2 AOE characters and farm it or only take bish and a free alt who can hold lots of items." And yeah, I knew who dropped what as soon as I saw it even tho it's been years since I was a n00b, but sometimes I didn't remember the mob name lol.
Ahh, I see. Thank you for the tip. ^^

Production can be fun, and addicting. I didn't level for a whole month when I got into production. I agree with @yuhee. You really do start to know what mob drops what without looking it up and you also start to know which crafting skill the items/equips are from.

Actually (I think) because the recipes follows a path that comes from lower into higher types. recipe 1 (low) - needs materials from low lvl mobs Recipe 2 (high) - needs materials from high lvl mobs Recipe 3 (high/low) - needs materials from both high and low lvl mobs Then onwards.... And when your prod lvl is higher and u need the materials that you used in your previous recipes thats what makes you more familiar with where to get or to obtain this material or equips. (Sorry for this I am not that good in English, I dont know how to put this exactly this time hope I expressed what I really mean) :L

EP Opheia actually thats exactly what I mean since u need these materials you learn what this mob drops from lowest to highest cause I dont expect in majority of newbies to learn the low lvl mobs cause their jourbey starts already at mega/bw/balor/nommar/yarde xP

Joy!!!! (ㆁωㆁ*) I leveled my alchemy a bit and now I can make nigredo, albedo, lava, and moeba dolls. *^*)9
That is a big accomplishment for me because I can now sell something lmao.
If you guys are wondering, I usually sell those dolls @25k each in my island stall called expert n00b shop.
Rejoice all, I didn't die from doing a little prod. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Just a heads up if I'm not to late to say toshi. Hold onto those stks of gold dust as you will need those for pebble recipe later on down the line. I generally have a look ahead in list of recipes if there is something that drops from a mob I'm farming that I will need later, or (and this is a big 1 for carp) if I will need something I've made to make something else later.

My gold dust stacks are still safely in my storage lol. Thank you for the heads up. ^^

Personally the fun in prod is only when im farming the mats...but whats bores me the most is pressing the produce button like 500+ times everyday e.e
And you see that green meter over and over again...
