Right now, I am a lvl 74 hunter, below are my stats: STR: 31 INT: 1 VIT: 45 AGI: 98 DEX: 30 CRT: 30
I want to be an assassin that utilizes kodachi or claw, would that be possible?
Is it possible to have a high def, eva, aspd?
Because since I started using kodachi and noticed that it adds attack for every Agi points, I can't seem to find any equip to replace it. What would be a good weapon replacement for my kodachi?
Thanks.

By the end of your build, you will have the highest evade any class can obtain (ninja's clones aren't evasion). Max attackspeed is easily obtainable for claw class at around 130+? Agi...? Small question though, why'd you get dex? I I were you, i'd raise Agi to max for more evasion and max attackspeed, crit to about 150+'ish depending on crystals and follow up dex. Your def will depend on your vit and gears but naturally, we have low def and mdef for claw users.

What would be a good weapon replacement for my kodachi? Thanks. Just some questions before some answers: 1) What does VIT doing at there? Assassin will NEVER have high DEF since it's not utility of them, they depends on EVA for survivability so monsters can't hit them more than VIT (VIT utility for DEF > Less DMG received and HP > DMG Survivability). I doesn't mean to hurt you but i think VIT for Assassin kinda useless in future. 2) I suggest you to didn't spent any points to STR before you cap AGI. You use claw for Weapon, right...? 3) What build are you doing? I mean, really... x.x Answers: 1) Assassin with claws would be stick to AGI/CRT/INT, AGI/CRT/STR, or AGI/CRT/DEX build. So, it does possible but your build kinda messy for doing Assassin with Nail... 2) No, it's not possible for having high def as Assassin (or it would be awkward... very awkward). We, Assassins, doesn't have buff for DEF or HP. But as for EVA and ASPD, you can spent skill point at AGI for EVA (and ASPD with Nail) also DEX for ASPD and Skill Cooldown (also HIT/Accuracy) 3) All Nail weapon do increase attack by AGI. So, all Nail weapon could be replacement for your Kodachi. If i'm doing mistakes, just correct me since i never tries Tank Assassin and never heard one of it...

I see, thank you so much for the input. I am actually planning to make a hybrid assassin, since I will be making an Auto-attack and not rely on skills, I want to b able to survive even after getting a few hits from monster, that is the reason for the vit, since we know that the eva does not go up to 100% eva, I can only rely on getting a little bit of defense.

Autoattack assassin? Well, focus on getting autoattack gears or double attack chance weapons or @$#%^& something like that (you know what do i mean...). +aspd% or +eva% always great so keep in handle with getting them.

Assassin has a lot of stats that need a lot of points, so spreading them out early can hurt a lot. Nail hunter is stronger than any other claw class until 120 due to hawkeye, evasion and the other agi and crt boosts so its good to use until then. After trash the claw
Auto attack assassin is Crt Int Agi. So Crt is gonna be most important. I recommend going 2crt 1agi until around level 100. At that point you should have around 200 crt and 100 agi (any extra add to Int) That leaves you at about 70ish crt rate. To make up for any attack speed use the evasion buff (+24 agi good for claw damage and evasion and speed) Also ise a kodachi or a claw upgrade.
After 100 start adding pure Int. Sometime after 120 your throwong damage will beat claw so switch to Throw Knife UP(evasion purposes, more for solo) or Xiphos(Speed purposes, better for party use) At this point you will critical hit 95% of the time. The assassin evasion buffs should be enough to keep you alive with the evasion helpers i mentioned earlier.
Once you have about140- 200INT you could go on to max Int or add agi to get max attack speed without the buffs and fully use t.knife up, or just work on maxing crt to be able to use other knives.
Im not an assassin, but im building one and thats my game plan so dont take it to heart.

Neither need to reset or painfully go with 2 Agi 1 Crt Build...

Which is why i addressed claws, told them about the downfall of a claw assassin, gave him a stat build of claws up to level 120 and gave him an alternative to branch from using a throw weapon for auto attack once he hits finds the damage lowers as a claw user.

After reading peoples inputs in this thread and you thanking Tilt, I jus realized, you were poking people to find a good build instead of actually following what you intended to do.
If you do plan to do what Tilt recommends, just make sure you have enough money to support the build. Having just enough agi to max attackspeed is gonna hurt you lv 140+ as everything by then has high hit rate. This means Naga, MIV, Roches and other common leveling spots will be harsh for you if you are trying to solo or tank.
I crossed almost every assassin build and am about to hit cap with my new recent build. All I can say is, there is no right, proper, best build for assassins yet because of the constant changes and patchs. Although I'm a throwing backstab assassin, I still prefer you stay claw until lv160. Leveling a throwing sin to 160 is torture.

Thats why I am planning to make a hybrid assassin that won't die from a single hit from monsters. I was just trying to gather information on their builds or ideas about making a survivor assassin, because you can never trust your evasion, there will always be a hit from monsters.

Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk We, assassins, have the highest evasion ingame. Adding vit will help add your maximum hp and slightly heighten your def but you're going to reduce your other capabilities for survival? That's totally your choice. The game is an MMORPG so soloing as an assassin isn't too common but since this is what you want, go for it. Staying nail will lessen your mdef greatly especially kodachi users. Also, our skills later evolve us into leaning towards throwing weapons hence why we have throwing weapon buffs but if you really wanna be a claw type, that's honestly okay.

And up to what point would mobs begin to have a high enough hit rate to make that evasion useless?

Inputs.. my assassin is capped level, maxed agi and crt with rest dumped into str. Xtal goes is magzona all and ganei (once str high enuf I'll switch to beelzedam or whatever that name is)
Currently max hp is 4.98k, I gemmed armor, additional and accessories wif hp abilities... For tanking I always standby 3 pets wif high vit so they protect half of dmg received always...

At max agi, I've seen and heard of people hitting 1700. That's Deathblow, shadow, agility, invisibility and evas gears. As for accuracy/hit, not quite sure. I should make a directory for the assassins section for new assassins to look up and ask for specified assassin builds.
