Hi every one
after one stupid scammer tried to to buy my FG xtal for 700K today (and he/she bought my 11%hp for 700k instead of it ) i thought it might be good to sharing scammers methods so less people get damage from them , if you know their methods maybe u can kick their ass like i did
[scammer = a person who swindles you by means of deception or fraud]
here is some tips help you :
1.Never trade valuable items with low lvl characters
its easy to create a new character with a new name and scam others but no hi lvl character like+100 want destroy his/hr main's (or worthy alt's) reputation by scam others , so if u saw a lvl30 buying more than 5m item , cancel the trade or take care more of it (the one i kicked his ass today was Devile lvl1 first hint for me).
2.Never trust people who cancel trade more than twice
i want say even once is suspicious , if anyone canceled first trade dont assume that he will add same item in next trade , always check spina and items even for 100th times (in my case he added 7m for 2 trades and canceled both for asking some PIE like "oh that xtal is cool" or "wait someone msg me" or ..... then i added 11%hp in 3rd trade while he added 700k and he pressed accept for fast scam as i did then he disband pt immediately and got off or used TP lol baka)
3.Slot is Blue Ns is Red
always remember this in trades
4.Google Gift Cards
i know some of you guys (like my sis) dying for those avatars and want look like a Hero or princess but stop it right now or you will lose your spina for a fake number, plz never and never and never buy GGC from strangers just from the people you know and 100% trust.
Some methods from >>Mikasa<<'s post (Be Aware Of Scamming Methods!)
1) RMT method
Okay, i know that RMT is inappropriate and break the rules itself, and you can't stop it. RMT is just like gambling you know... you pay but you won't know what will you get...
The scammer may promise you some bunch of spina (ex. 3m for $5) if you pay him/her. He/she maybe could show you the spina, then you will paid him/her, after that... well, they maybe said "you haven't transfered yet" or something like that, after that, run away...
I KNOW there is people who really give the spina, but still, it abuse the rule itself...
2) Account trading method
I guess this is the most dumb way to trade... I mean, why should you pay for an account? Don't you know the main aim for playing game is to have fun? I heard a lot of my friends hacked by this way, but... this is their fault... -.-"
You maybe get the account from the trade, but, be careful! He maybe track you down and ask you for trying it first. DON'T TRY IT FIRST! Make sure that everything is right (change the password, change the 2SV, change the recovery e-mail, blah blah blah...), but really, i guess it'll be better if you NOT trading account.
3) I'll-pay-later method
Okay, so maybe the scammer will ask you to sell to him/her what did you sell. Then, he/she will said "i got the money at my main/alt. Could you give me the item first? I'll pay you later." After that, you will give away the item to him/her, and he/she will run away with that item... LOL.
He/she maybe could show you the money, (or maybe they will really pay) but still, be careful!
4) Can-i-borrow-it method
The scammer will ask you to lend him/her an item. He/she will promise you to return it back at H day, but guess what, he/she will run away and will never show him/herself towards you again.
If you want to lend an item, MAKE SURE HE/SHE IS TRUSTWORTHY. No lending items to strangers.
5) I'm-a-good-guy method
This method probably the most trickiest method i know...
The scammer will join a good guild and act nice to members, in one day, he/she will ask to borrow an item and promise will give it back, because he/she is "nice", the other will thought "he/she is nice anyway, why should i suspicious to him/her?" and give it away... then he/she probably leave guild immiteadly and run away...
It's hard to detect this one, but please be aware of weird actions...
6) Item-changing method
The scammer will sell an item with a xtal, but at the promised trade, he/she will either cancel the trade or nonaccidently make full of his/her inventory and then appologize. After that, he/she will change the xtal-ed item with clear item. This method also could be found at 2s items.
Please ALWAYS double-check before you trade. Rushing is always, always unnecessary.
7) Sauro-medal method
The scammer will shout that he/she sells 20 sauro medal+, at first he/she maybe really put sauro medal+, but at the end, he/she may change the medal+ to medal. LOL failest way but still, some people dumb enough to be scammed with this kind of method... as like what i said at up, ALWAYS double check the trade.
8) Missing-zero method
The scammer will ask you to trade him with xxx spina (ex. 2m). But when you do the trade, instead 2m he/she will put 200k instead. Another dumb way but still be careful... double check so you won't get any trouble.
9) Down-payment method
The scammer will ask you to sell him/her your item for really cheap price and said that's the down payment. He/she will ask you to give it now and promise will pay the rest later, after you give that item and receive the "down-payment", he/she will run away and will never pay their bills.
If you want to sell with due, than giving a DP opinion, i guess it's still better if you give a booking opinion. That's more wise and less scammy.
10) Fake-info method
The scammer usually targets the low levels. They will bring something "unusual" and said that it worth xxx (ex. Scarlet Armor, saying that it's an armor). They will show the "scarlet armor" with Shiroito or Shusiwa. They will ask price about 300-500k, but they said they will only sent it via mail because bag is full. The victim will pay and receive junk.
Never do mail trade and be active with knowledge about weapon and armors.
11) Similar-name method
The scammer will create a toon who has a similar name with a trustworthy person (Ex. *ARiA* for copying my Aria ) and trying to scam people with it's name. This method maybe resemble with 3rd method and said "i will pay later with xxx char", after that he/she will run away and make the original char called a scammer.
The way to avoid this is just do TRUE trade (If you want the item, gimme the money). If possible, ask the original char if it's true that xxx is his/her account. Avoid using mainstream name if you could if you don't want to be called scammer.
