Hi forum readers, i would like to share my experience of soloing Raton II MQ as a level 190 Auto Enchanter;
IGN: Kossuth (now lv.20x)
Gears used for soloing;
Dim Sword VI +8 Gerust
Myr Symbol +8 Cherose
DPR Up ✩VIT5 +8 Ifrit
Reduced Bangle ns
Stats are;
256 INT
46 VIT
160 AGI (too much i know, im planning to restat after m.blade)
115 DEX
Soloed all my MQ all the way to Beelzenom with this setup, Beelzetor and the following is just too hard to solo (T_T)
(Please note i didn't die not even once on my last successful attempt)
After several failed attempts at soloing i realised something at Raton II;
1. After 2 or 3 melee attacks (double cross sword, double punch etc) Raton II always cast Yellow Blast on you
(the one that half ur hp/mp for 30 seconds).
so after we land a few hits on Raton II, we moved to its side or its back to avoid that blast completely.
On my last successful attempt i didn't get hit by those blast, not even once ^_^!
2. Since we get story blessing for Raton II MQ, he deals a lot less damage to our Stone Skin.
Hence, we only need to focus on healing up MP (Pots and MP.Recharge) to spam Stone Skin and avoid the blasts.
3. When he is at 50% hp or less, he used this Aura that wipe HP/MP to 1. (luckily only once)
An easy way to counter this is to cast Drain on him before this happens and when he wipe my HP/MP
I run away and immediately used Salt, wait for the HP drain to kick in and spam MP recharge on myself
while running around (still gotta be careful of those random blasts) and when both HP/MP full/enough
i attack him again.
Another way to do it is to lose aggro after 2 Drain so we have enough HP to MP.Recharge to full MP
and prepare buffs/supporting items.
4. At hp 10% or less, Raton II used Absolute Barrier (that makes your melee/magic damage to 1)
Drain damage isn't affected though. I wait it out for about 30 or so seconds (while avoiding those blast)
If you run away far enough from Raton II you can lose aggro. So it is a good idea to fight him at one far-
side of the map, then we can easily run to the other side of the map and lose aggro.
Just remember to stock up alot on hp/mp pots and all the vaccines you can afford.
I hope it helps.
