In order to get Trigger slash, you need asute at lvl 5 minimum. So you are fine.

It is interesting that most people think of tank as 1h shield warrior. Or at least that's what started this thread anyways...
But assuming that we would be able to max 3 stats by end game, the tankiest builds would be a rivalry between vit/agi/mental and vit/int/mental. The first would be harder to hit thus stronger against physical attacks and second being stronger against magic.
Common problem with both build is: how do you hit anything to keep aggro when there is 0 dex/crt and magic doesn't really let you keep aggro let alone being interrupted.
If people could think of ways to make either of these work, these would be the tanks-to-be.

The intention for agi in the first build is more for the dodge rather than attack sped. Capping aspd will lose on the dodging which makes it pointless.
However, your solution is totally valid as well.
Thats basically what triggered the thought on the second build as magics don't miss. However, based on current skills available, I can't get the second build to work just yet.

I just realized that if mentality increases ur resistance to status aliments it should protect u from flinch tumble and stun and if u use m device instead of staff then u could in theory hav a mage who can't be interrupted while casting
