Could someone explain to me why players look for magic weapons with high ATK? Why do these weapons cost so much more with higher ATK? Don't magic users deal damage based on MATK? They rarely auto attack, so why are magic weapons (staff, rod, etc.) with higher ATK so much more expensive than lower ATK counterparts?
Am I missing some understanding on how ATK on a weapon benefits a character such as High Wizard?

Ah that clears it up. I was confused about ATK, as I thought it only meant physical (because MATK exists). Thanks!

The atk of a staff and throw weapons goes towards your matk.

It would make sense that ATK would contribute to MATK, since the Spellboost buff raises ATK.
