@nouvelle Vague I really hope she is trolling. That was a beautiful explanation of probability. Fallere The theory of account or character drop rate makes absolutely no sense from a programming standpoint. Why throw in variables to punish players or reward players for making a character? In no game, even Iruna, does an adjustment like that make sense from a developers view. Also, why are you not hunting for production mats in a group anyway? If all of your party (assuming all dps) kill at the same rate and don't exhaust the map you'll obtain many more drops and more chances for uncommon drops. Geez, you need to step back and cool down man, like I said it's just a theory. No need to throw a fit for something that isn't proven yet. In my defense, I for one easily get rare drops and my pt partner usually gets more uncommon drops. We were farming Wizaleon the other day and she got more Ethers than I did, but I got xtal after just 8 kills. And I suggest you go back to read my post, I did say I get help from my pt member. My point was I don't get a lot of mats so I end up having to trade.

I'm not questioning your luck, i'm questioning the theory. The theory in itself is simply ludicrous to me and reaches far out of the realm of possibility. However, i'd like to view the theory to gather more insight on why it exist. The assumption of my post is that you do use parties to your advantage to farm, but don't use that advantage all of the time. I do admit to misreading the end of your post though. It led me to believe that you prefered to farm solo as opposed to farming with a party. My apologies there.

I believe that you just get lucky with some bosses and plain unlucky with others. My Hiwiz had farmed Ganei more than 6k times in various parties but never had the good fortune of any xtal. all i got was kodachi. My single longest farming cycle was with over 700 kills. the speed was also good.
My ninja has a different story, i have had more than 30+ xtal drops from Ganei. mostly solo farm and the kill rate is also slower. i can almost be certain of a drop in 200-300 kills.
so i decided to farm different bosses on my hiwiz and found out that minenaga, bossheit, shojo drop better. my ninja did not get a shojo drop for about 400+ kills.
so my advise would be to rotate a few bosses to see where you get easy drops. of course, you need to do atleast 2 to 3 hours before coming to an agreement that the bosses work for you.
use the boss drop and buy (ugh from rokoko) what you need.

Putting luck aside, I don't think that the theory is as far out as you're saying though. I mean, based on profitability wouldn't it make sense to make the game so that we'd be enticed to avail of coin items to get rare drops more often? I wouldn't know their motives for releasing the game, but I do know it's not just for kicks. Might explain why they'd make rares favorable to some accounts, while others get uncommons. Something to think about (^_-)
