Well to begin this project i will go mainly into where to level depending on builds, not much for classes. this is a guide for people just starting the game that need to learn the ropes. also, give the wiki a quick read
step 1) decide what class you want to be to begin with so you know where to distribute status points.
class tree goes like this: (you can change between classes at apprentice levels)
adventurer > warrior (lvl 20) > apprentice knight/hunter (lvl 50) > full knight/hunter (lvl 70) > apprentice gladiator/paladin (lvl 120, only for knights) and apprentice sniper/assassin (only for hunters) > full class gladiator/paladin or sniper/assasin (lvl 140)
adventurer > mage > apprentice wizard/cleric > full wizard/cleric >high wizard/enchanter or bishop/monk (same rules as the warrior path)
as for the special classes (ninja/samurai/minstrel) you can change to these at any time if you meet the level requirement.
the places required to go get these classes are provided in the wiki. along with the quests, so you should check them out.
status points distribuiton depending on class:
this is very important since it will determine your gameplay style:
agi/crt builds (mainly ninja/monk/assasin/gladiator): these builds revolve around having high damage with survivability, they are mainly claw users or special bow users (check the attack up by weapon type guide) you will want to get 140 agility to begin with and then start adding crit untill you are comfortable with your crit rate, then proceed to max agi and crt.
int/dex/agi or crit builds: this is trickier since there are two ways to go from here: classes that mainly use this are hiigh wizard/assasin/bishop (nemesis user)/magic ninja: the basic run down for these is just max int and proceed to max dex, wizards and bishops focus on using staves while assasins use throwing weapons, the exception to int/dex is the tank builds which replace dex with vit, same run as before, max int and proceed to add vit or whatever you want, and assasins, which need critical to raise their backstab damage.
vit/dex or vit int: this is mainly for paladins, beware that this class is very hard to level and is not recommended to new users, as for this class you mainly want to prioritize vit, you will use special swords.
dex/str: this is the standard sniper build that focuses on spamming arrow rain ability to maximize damage output, this is also a fairly hard class to level. your main weapon is bows using a thimble special equip. you will max dex first then proceed to max str
int>agi>dex/crt: this is the enchanter build. this is also a fairly hard class to play, but it is very fun and very rewarding at higher levels. you will focus on using magic weapons (not really recommended for new users) you will max int first then proceed to get max aspd and dex for hit rate
STR/DEX(samurai) STR/CRT(gladiator): this is the standard pure damage samurai and gladiator build, these are sword users and the gladiator is mainly a berserk skill user, the stat distribuiton goes max str>dex
levels 1-20
this is the starting point of the game, it will be relatively hard for most people, but it's easily done quick. you will start off with a sword at lvl 1. do not go spreading your status points randomly because this will bite you in the ass later. you will want to start off killing chako untill you can go on to kill colons and mooths (mooths right to the left of the bridge drop leather armor or coat and the ones in the stone building drop claymore sword) you will want to repeat this process till lvl 20 or so.
levels 20-30
at lvl 20 you can choose between warrior and mage class, you should have distributed your points according to the build you want to go. at this point there is a quest you can take at commander venia, located in rokoko plains which requires you to kill hounds, these shouldn't really be hard, but if they do result difficult you should kill the mobs that are right before rokoko to level.
levels 30-50
at this point you can do the skeleton quest given by venia, this is one of the fastest ways to level at this point, you can also kill baums for broken staffs and do impetu arrows quest located at sofya, this moment is a good opportunity to settle down and try to make some money,
my reccomendation is to either, sell broken staff stacks for 15k a stack (99) or to kill kijimu at sofya with a fast party and sell your items to the npc (watch out for slotted rose rings since those are worth 15m+ spina!!!) in here you should make enough money to buy you a decent weapon and you will want to get a seahorse bangle for around 100k spina (you buy these at server 1 at rokoko from other players) as for the weapons (good starter weapons: claw (agi/crt builds, price is around 100k for slot), sauro stick (for int/dex, maily mages, price is around 300k for slot, sauro shooter (dex/str mainly snipers price is around 200k for slot), throwing/poison knife (for throwing builds, price is around 30k for slot)
levels 50-70-80
this period is great, you should try to advance in the main quest story line until you can have access to dark wasteland (this can be hard and you might need assistance from other players, remember it's okay to ask, but begging and forcing yourself to others is disrespectful and frowned upon).
at this point you can kill dark warriors relatively easy (agi/crt builds), wizards and clerics can be of assistance here so you should try to find parties. this yields great experience and you also make great money from Revita (L), since a stack sells for 30k and is quickly obtained.
other option is to kill flame rockers, these still yield great experience, and should be relatively easy to kill.
an option for wizards is to do a quest at lvl 70 located in saterica, you can kill 50 medusa with relative easy since you will have high magic defense, these can be done very easily and have good rewards as well.
At this point you should be looking into making money to get some better gears. you should have the knowledge about the gears you want to get from talking around with people and also try looking for a guild, guild mates are usually willing to help and to provide tips about prices and stuff.
levels 80-120
At this point you can keep doing the previous mentioned methods if the next one turns out to be difficult, this is one of the best quests around which should also make you lots of money in the process, this quest is called awaiting the godess, it is located right next to kleya, you get the quest from inje man. it requires you to kill 30 ganoshka, 30 leopards and 30 albrero with an optional to kill false grecia for an extra 80k experience, this quest yields 280k xp and 385 wtith the false grecia kill, this quest will require you to party for maximizing efficiency and speed. from this quest you can make tons of money since the monsters there all drop valuable items (you should watch out for 2 slot weapons since they're worth a pretty penny). and false grecia also drops her xtal, which is worth around 7m.
levels 120-max
here you will have the option to do the fastest exp quest available at the time, this is the naga quest, forgot the name where to get this quest. but it's right next to himmel in the maze. this is one of the fastest leveling methods, mainly for high wizards and bishops, if you are having trouble finding naga party, continue doing atg.
levels 140-max
you should look into doing monsters in valley, which gives like 980k xp and requires you to kill 150 mobs, which provide around 5-10k ish xp each. this quest can be grinded quickly in a fast party for very good xp.
Alternatives: (more advanced)
this is mainly for ticket users:
solo way:
(mainly agi/crt builds): high ents before magonza
(wizards that can hit around 20k with eq): neknotts, these give good xp and are pretty clumped up, their drops also stack up quickly and can provide easily 2-3m per day if grinded.
(party wise): megaroches, pretty much self explanatory.
wayward golems quest, located at elban, as a ninja you can solo this quest easily and it provides good xp, if you can do it solo in your class it's even greater
duo bosses: the boss of preference is to fast kill shojo with a ninja and a high wizard
the 170 quest hat requires you to collect hard armor pieces from tigris, mainly for people that can kill tigris fast without any problems. (bishops 180+ with nemesis, or hwiz if you can hit around 20-22k with your eq)
tell me if i need any corrections regarding the quests, did this on the rush and out of memory.
