First of all forgive me if I'm posting this thread in the wrong place. I'm searching for advice and/or preferences of players using a similar build to mine. I'm currently a level 56 apprentice hunter planning to become an arrow rain sniper. I've placed almost every stat point in dex so far.
I've read the leveling guide here and on some of the wiki's guild pages but they all are a kind of "one method fits all" guides.
I would like suggestions from higher level AR snipers, such as their own strategies for leveling up from when they were around my level.
Preferably a monster or quest that I would be able to grind solo, but I'm not ruling out partying with others close to my level.
I am not looking for answers like power leveling through MQ.
Thanks in advance to all who take the time to read my post.

try to find a mob which you can one hit kill on your ar spam.
i forgot which lvl you can spam ar on porge as easy kill on wind cave but you can do dark soldiers too if you open dark manors.

Well im not a sniper and ive never made one but i have been a hunter at one point so ill give my 2 cents on that...
Honestly i would just mq to 70 so that you get your grinding skill which is AR. At this point you have no dps or decent defense besides hit and run so im guessing you would have to rely on venum for a while.
You could attempt the sitira quest in kleya, the mobs are level 70ish if i can remember correctly. It gives 60ish k a run.

Thanks in advance to all who take the time to read my post. I do not recommend AR snipers for new players since they don't have resources to support it. You need Remagics that cost 100k+ per stack and you will burn this like gasoline to a car. You also need the proper gear to make it work. Your survivability relies on your ATK (1hit mobs), so if you have low ATK, you mostly end up dead. You need skill reduction gear. Because with full DEX, you still have around 3 seconds cooldown, which will get you dead if you don't 1 hit the mob. Moreover, whatever damage you put out, you divide it by 3 seconds = low DPS. An AR sniper with low DPS is worse than an AGI/CRT toon with low end gear in terms of DPS. In summary, if you don't have resources, you end up: 1) Dying all the time 2) Grinding mobs that a Lv50 grinds when you are already Lv100. 3) Getting kicked at boss grinds for low DPS 4) Getting kicked at quest levelling for dying all the time 5) Sitting down for the half of your play time to regen your MP (if you aren't dead yet).

You can ask any good sniper to check If any of my points are irrelevant to a sniper or even false.

Nor irrelevant to a sniper, it simply wasn't the type of opinion I created this thread for. I created this thread to find out which mobs a sniper would grind for solo or duo leveling. I was not inquiring about equips or survivability.

I'm not saying it was not constructive or false. Nor irrelevant to a sniper, it simply wasn't the type of opinion I created this thread for. I created this thread to find out which mobs a sniper would grind for solo or duo leveling. I was not inquiring about equips or survivability. well that's the thing, a properly geared sniper at your level will be grinding different mobs. At Lv56 you have 175DEX, if you are geared poorly (e.g. use odium bow+7 and HP gear and thimble) this lands you at about 900-1000ish ATK. With 1-4 hits arrow rain, you deal roughly around 900-4000 dmg. Assuming it is a low evasion mob, you would do 3 to 4 arrow rain hits so it would be around 2.7k to 4k dmg per skill, which means you should find a mob that has 2.7k hp that gives the best exp. Any higher HP than that will cause inconsistencies in the grind, since you will need to do 2 arrow rains to kill every now and then. And it takes you 3 seconds to fire another arrow rain, so you would probably take a couple of hits. You will need Rev L and remagics. Now a Lv.56 with Vio bow up+9 Exelis up schmuck thimble with 3x schlingel will land at about.1.2k - 1.3k+ ATK. At 3 to 4 hits will deal around 3.6k - 5.2k dmg per arrow rain. He will be grinding 3.6k HP mobs which will probably give more exp than a 2.7k hp mob. He will also kill 3x faster because he skills per second which means whatever you grind in 3 hours, he will grind in 1 hour. He can also choose to do 2 AR mobs so he can probably do 6k+hp mobs without receiving any damage. He will not require any rev L (or very minimal amount) so he saves spina. It gets even more advanced grinding if your Vio and Thimble has an extra slot. BTW, my assumptions on the DEX and ATK figures are estimates, it could be higher or lower but you should be able to get the picture. ================================================ Err. Sorry I just realized that you don't get AR until Hunter. You will need to leech out on party level quests or do MQ until you have the skill because your slow attack won't get you very far. Try Baums quest. Although you still need to anticipate what you would be after you become hunter. Life of a sniper can be hell if you don't do it right.

Your estimates were pretty close, just got level 70 moments ago and unlocked the AR skill. My gears are: alnilam/s shooter +7, pao, auler and s bangle at the moment. I've made decent spina grinding up to that level so I'll be looking to upgrade my gear now. Stopped dex @ 200 with unspent stat points. Damage is in the 1.2k range (when taking advantage of monster element weakness) landing my AR @ 3-4 hits, around 3k damage depending on defense of mob.

Dont stop dex. There is no other better stat.
Your s shooter will give more dps due to skill delay.
+9 your weapon only. You dont need armor def.

I just like to say Wow that was some awesome work with the stats and attack. I have a question myself and seeing how well informed you are I was hoping for your advice. I'm leveling as a agi crt. however I'm going to be a sniper. My sniper equipment is exelis up vio up 172+9 schmuck+9 and thimble ns (all 3 with schlingel). my question is what level would it be best to change over to sniper stats. Im planning on dex str max and int ( for pois dmg and mana pool). Still thinking about third stat.my main concern is switching too early and causing myself to slow down. I'm about 6 days into the sniper and its level 103. Should I keep at this agi crt till full job?
