Why is iOS the bastard redhead stepchild of this game?
I've gotten so used to playing this game on an android on beta and thought it was no problem switching emails, resetting, and updating phones without any precautions.
I recently bought an iPhone 5s and played for a few weeks, got a ninja to 181 and got 100m+ worth of items then decided to clean restore my phone to update to 8.1.3 then my ninja is inaccessible. For the longest time I thought it worked the same way.
Anyway, they need to fix this issue soon. I'm sure none of the players like the device-stored characters on iOS.

Did you Back Up your iPhone - either on iCloud or iTunes? Are you sure you're using the right iOS account? AFAIK you cannot transfer an Android account to iOS but a restore should still allow you to re-load your iOS account with the NIN char.

Your account would have default backed up to iCloud unless you changed that in iTunes during update or syncing. I thought I tried everything too but a month later I factory reset my iPhone and disconnected it from iTunes and connected to wifi after signing into my Icloud account and waited like 4 hours before touching it again- didn't really expect much-but despite what the warnings say from asobimo my iCloud backup worked fine
