No matter the weapon set (other than bow) I fail to see the point of adding dexterity.
It may lower the cool down time of a few of the skills (which ones?) But not the important one (finishing stroke).
If u need more attack, why not agility? If one is normal sword, vitality sword, or magic sword it adds attack.
I can understand adding dex if one is a vitality sword build because of the 1.5 atack compared to 1 attack of agility.
Please help me to understand because I am building a samurai and my goal is damage with some degree of survivability and do bot wish to ruin my build with my last stelfy book.
I am lv 160 and wish to go with samurai because ninja kinda blows.

1 DEX - increases accuracy, or HIT by 1 1 DEX - adds 5 or 6 CSPD, or casting speed 2 DEX - adds 2 MATK
1 DEX = +2 ATK when a bow is equipped 1 DEX = +1.5 ATK when a magic bow or special sword is equipped 1 DEX = +1 ATK when a sword, throwing weapon, or magic sword is equipped
In other words, you won't be able to hit a thing without dexterity with your samurai (samurais don't put anything in crt stat)

Doesn't samurai have critical based on level? A high enough level samurai needs only a hellshaft sword and some basic rate boosting to have hit rate accuracy without any dexterity. Then again, this is normal sword build.
For vitality sword or magic sword, just get to level 160 (like me) and buy tech lv5 to boost critical rate.
So unless one s bow user, then the only other reason is to boost damage for vitality sword build.
As I said, I seek input so thanks for the assistance.

It's a tiny portion of Samurai damage. Issen is actually the most important skill to worry about. DEX affects Issen. Special Swords will max VIT DEX and AGI. No CRT will be added as it will just lower your damage in the long run. It may be worth waiting a bit before resetting as ideally you won't to add no CRT at all when you are higher leveled but at the moment it may make you weaker. Regular Sword users will probably STR DEX VIT/AGI. STR is pretty much always gonna be put as high as possible. VIT and AGI can be added to preference. VIT is basically a must though since you are melee. If you are using regular swords you are pretty much going in the DPS direction and DEX will improve DPS a lot more than AGI.

If you are going to get a tech lvl 5 you can probably ignore my comment about waiting to reset. Just make sure you don't add CRT pretty much. They get 1 CRT per level and I believe the limit is w/e your limit is on stat release.
