I'm taking another whack on deciphering the Guardian damage formula and this is what I have so far.
We all know it is composed of 2 parts, HP part + ATK part.
To get the HP part, what I did was to obtain a Forest Spirit, since it will make your damage from ATK to 1 versus Earth (tested on Dendrons). This eliminates the ATK part and leaves the HP part. And what I got was:
Guardian Lv1 dmg = Current HP x 0.06 (or 6% of your current HP)
Guardian Lv2 dmg = Current HP x 0.09 (or 9% of your current HP)
The damage is fixed and does not change (so long as your current HP does not change) so there are no random numbers involved in this. Per my previous tests, this is Physical Penetration so it ignores mob DEF. And it is NOT affected by Elemental+ (like Gloria). This is the easy part of the formula.
Next is the ATK part which is abit trickier. What I did was to obtain Poison Mushrooms to make my HP=1, so the damage that remains is the ATK part.
Then I compared my ATK values, with and without warcry on the same set of gear (both HP1) to identify basic multipliers and what I got was:
Guardian Lv1 dmg = ATK x 3.8
Guardian Lv2 dmg = ATK x 4
There is a random number between this and is relatively small so I assume it is: RGN = (0 to weapon ATK value)
However this is still incomplete and although the damage between with warcry and without will be accurate, it will not be on the dot if you compute the total damage. This suggests that there are other factors added to the ATK formula. Below are my assumptions:
I tested this on Chakos and Megaroches and they have different values so it suggests that mob DEF is involved. I also previously tested for Elemental+, So,
Guardian Lv1 dmg = ((ATK - mobDEF) x 3.8) + RGN ) x (1 + elemental bonus%)
Guardian Lv2 dmg = (ATK - mobDEF) x 4) + RGN) x (1 + elemental bonus%)
The rest of the factors are unknown to me but it can normally come from:
Level factor (your LvL - enemy LvL)
STR stat (just because JP wiki mentioned STR on their formula, I can't know for sure because I already have max STR)
Weapon ATK
Combining the actuals from the assumptions, the formula in my mind is:
Guardian Lv1: (Current HP x 0.06) + ((((ATK - mobDEF) x 3.8) + (yourLvL - enemyLvL) + STR value + Weapon ATK value + RGN) x (1 x elemental bonus%))
Guardian Lv2: (Current HP x 0.09) + ((((ATK - mobDEF) x 4) + (yourLvL - enemyLvL) + STR value + Weapon ATK value + RGN) x (1 x elemental bonus%))
Let me know if this formula does not match your damage output so we can revise accordingly. Note:This formula does not include the Rage Force skill.
