Hi peoples, currently a level 161 gladi : 218str, 75 vit, 200 crit
im currently using: r - tengu up+9 plazu variant schlingel ultimi magonza dragon newt beelzenoid
Under the assumption that I have max crit rate (from tech),
What would be the best xtal and addgear based on my stats? (aside from vida)
is variant better? or is Vanregal? Also, cerberus or schlingel (or other suggestions?)
What im after is the highest damage, if possible please provide calculations. (too poor to test out myself)

Vanregal is better because it adds crit damage 10% and xtal i suggest cerberus for low def mobs or vida high defense mob

Vanregal Vida instead of the Variant Schlingel. You could replace the Pluzada with Cerberus since that xtal gives the least ATK or you could keep using it. Up to you on that part.

please read the post, i specifically said if vida was not an option, i understand the cerb part but im keeping the plazu cause its plazu :3

Vanregal Cerberus IF you can cancel out the Critical Rate malus with Technique ability that is, otherwise it's, as weird as it sounds, Boss Colon. Variant's Melee bonus does not apply on Double Attack, so it has diminishing returns, which makes Vanregal superior by far later on.

there is a damage formula from jp wiki that people who are keen to damage math must know. I have posted it here several times in this forum, ill post it again when I log in my laptop.
The formula will help you understand that 'best' xtal for damage can be situational, unless we define each factor specifically. (There are cases that atk gears beat crt dmg gears and vice versa). The formula is written so that there is no direct answer for best gear unless we are specific in details (e.g. your build, level, weapon atk, vs what mob, etc.)

i think its best to max your CRT stat if you want highest damage possible because CRT not only raise critical hit rate, but also raise damage output and double attack rate. according to jp wiki, basic critical hit do 1.5x of normal damage(white color). but CRT stat also raise damage output by CRT/200. so if your CRT is max 256, your critical damage output (orange color) is 2.78x of normal damage. 1.5+(256/200) =1.5+1.28 =2.78 and for double attack rate, is 40% when your CRT is max 256. source: iruna-online.wikiwiki.jp/?%A5%B9%A5%C6%A1%BC%A5%BF%A5%B9
