Well, this is a guide on both my, and a friends, behalf. This is my first and I want to share my opinion of Bishop with fellow players.
Stats; (These stats are all advised by the player "Irosumi")
To start with, and as always, max int. This gives you a rough estimated heal of 3200-3300 by lv 84 (Lv 84 is 256 pts, one max stat for those who didn't know or are new.) After maxing your int, start to work on your vit. Do this until 90 vit and then begin to work on your dex. This is for decent cast time of the skill "Nemesis" which you can obtain from a quest at lv 180. (As many long term Bishop would know, this is where everything gets fun and easier.) After you have maxed your dex, or are feeling low on your HP, return to adding vit until max.
So, overall, you should hit lv 252 with three max stats. Currently, the lv cap is 250. Leaving you with a rough stat build of; 256 int 250 vit 256 dex, or; 256 vit, 250 dex.
Now, time for gears. This is what I, myself, found to be a nice set for prioritising hp over magic attack damage.
Armours; Saltus slot (preferably upgraded) This gives you +8 hp on non-upgraded. 10% on first upgrade and 12% on final. Iron armour slot, upgrade. (This gives you a flat 1000hp on the upgrade)
Additional; Miwi hat slot. This gives +20% hp with no upgrade available. Adding a 20% hp into this will give you +40% from one gear alone. Piton Hat slot. ~ This gives 1000hp and a nice defence boost along with Miwi hat.
Special Equip; Rustling Leaf or Brave Bangle (Slot one of these with hp reward or mp recovery f

(Sent without finish, lol.) ** Giving you a bonus recovery to your bless. Weapons; Resty Rod Every Bishop's best friend. This gives you a huge +10% Matk and is amazingly useful for heal recovery. Sauro stick ~ This is probably the best beginner rod/staff for starting bishops as it gives you +6% Matk, -cast time, +3 int and dex. Ice Book ~ This is an amazing weapon for tanking style bishops. Giving +12% hp without upgrading. That was my guide I hope it helps in a way. Feel free to comment with any points I missed or any feedback. Again, credits to the player "Irosumi" for the stats.

Nice and tanky n.n
But I believe heals will suffer because there's not enough matk. Also, I think this set up may interfere with spamming. ?

I made this aiming for tanking or an attempt to make solo's in mq a breeze until 120/140. I found going at least 60 Vit was a huge bonus and helped me through my mq until full bishop. In ways, it does decrease ability to spam. But bishops main skills (Heal, Nemesis((lv180)) and a few others) aren't affected by this as much since they are fairly low on cast time. By Nemesis, your dex would be maxed if you kept vit at about 50-54 (if that was what felt comfortable or wanted an advantage over higher vit users)

irunaonline.boards.net/thread/4070/bishop-guide-lv-120This was done, in case you need help adding on to your bishop's guide. sun Resty Rod is actually the tanking rod for Bishops. The autoskill increases matk, which increase heals, which helps for critical moments. But all in all, this guide is severely lacking. You can't call it a bishop guide, and only add one perspective. You must add many perspectives, because if a new player interested in the class sees this, they may think this is the only way.

I agree with Sinner. Maybe change the title so that this guide can just be from one perspective. 'Bishop's Tanking Guide' or something like that.

Honestly, I know it wasn't good. I knew it from the start that there would be "experts" flooding me with fairly disrespective comments. I've been playing Iruna for a month, I made my cleric a week before I made this guide on MY opinion. And that's what a guide is. Made by a players own opinion on what they found helpful. I do call this a guide, how can you say it's not? I don't actually think you could do any better if you've been playing this job for two weeks, having only learned about the stats and what gear helped from a tank style bishop. I was never told about other types, I only found out bout the others soon after posting. So I'm sorry it's not perfect from a two week experience. I've only been a player for a month, I don't know a lot. But I feel insulted that you have blatantly came out and said it's not a guide. When clearly it is.

Thank you for the contribution. People have different ideas and some may disagree, but this is all a game and a game should be enjoyed and experimented with. Well done and I am sure someone will benefit from the information you have provided.
