Skill of splashing the power of magic temporarily . When you attack with magic, power comes to increase at a low probability. Incidence of changes in the CRT.

Formula spell burst rate = SLv × 10 + CRT ÷ 10As cap stat released now i want update this thread
so as my H-Wiz lv266 can have 133 extra points on Crt so i can have like 256+133=389 points which will give me (as i have slv2) SBrate=(2x10)+(389/10)=around 59% and if thet release slv3 it will b like 70% and if u add just one rita on wep u can get like 80% SBrate which is a pretty much i guess
as we have 6 stat to rise , in my case i can have (6x133/3)=266 points which i can max two over cap stat with it so i wanna know which one u prefer to over cap now?
CRT & INT or INT & DEX or CRT & DEX

You're also supposed to get benefit (SB %chance) from CRT RATE gear (Ultimi) and *tech abilities.
Ultimi +10%
Tech5 +30%
Tech4 (can't have same level abi) +25%
= +65% which should be more than you need to hit 100%. I don't know if this has the same hard limit as regular crt chance of 95%...
Should be easy enough to test if you're willing.

It should not be too hard to test if someone is willing. I personally have decided to go with Vit for my HW; gotten tired of getting 1-hit by an Ent lol =/ |

I'd have to get more tech abilities on rod again to retest, but spell burst rate was up with it when I tested. Still not 100% if coincidence or not, but seems to be effective, so I vote crt rate for high wiz o.o/ Though, spell burst rate% would obviously be more effective. |

You dont really need a tech5 to test. Get a throw knife +30 rate and a schwartz +10 rate. You're looking for proc rate anyway and the damage doesn't matter for the test.
Btw spellburst at 40% rate is equal to 20% more overall dps so it maybe worth considering if the tradeoffs fit.

I'll check later on girlfriend's high wizard. She has an ultimi I can use to test. I think I have a tech level 2 for armor too. |

I tried it a while back using

schwartz

and it does NOT work.
Personally i wouldnt try the spell burst build until the status release is out. 256stat points is 40% and 400 is 65% i think.
maybe if you had the 400crt and all rita xtals it would ve worth something. right now with a soon to be 3 stat cap you would have to split yourself between
matk(int)-240-max for decent matk for spells
spell cast speed(dex)- 240-max needed for fast casting
survival (vit/agi)-whatever
spell burst(1crt is 20%. 256 is 40%)
It really depends on if your a party player or not i guess...
so for me, thumbs down unless something awesome came out in the past 3 months

IMO, rita Is an Inferior xtal IN terms of dps. If It Is Inferior now, It will remain It will remain Inferior unless It compounds (when i say compound It means stats change at certain Instances. A dps wizard has no other better stat than Int dex and crt unless you use magic amp. Please correct if I am wrong) |

Yeah Spell Burst builds don't seem like they would be worth it at the moment. Besides HWIZ typically do more support than DPS through debuffs and MP Recharge so VIT is really useful for them. That along with the fact that INT+DEX should be maxed means you don't have many points as of this cap.

So, I'm currently using my girlfriend's High Wizard, testing the spell burst rate difference between Exelis and Ultimi (Ultimi has Critical up [Crt Rate+10] and exe has nothing for crit rate), and I'm procuring more Spell Bursts with Ultimi than I am with Exelis.
Gear:
S.Rod+9 Gerust Technique Lv. 1
Exe Up Shojo Mp Cost Lv. 1/Ultimi Clean
Mercure Isu Gentleness Lv. 1
Dragonewt Mezza
Only Adds to crt rate were Technique 1 (crt rate+5) and Ultimi (crt rate+10), so there was only a 10 crt rate difference. I conducted 6 shot tests (all battle can fit at 1 time) with 3 drains and 3 thors each for each armor (drain can spell burst too). On average, Exelis would spell burst 1-3 times out of the 6 shots. Ultimi would spell burst 3-5 times, majority being 4-5.
I also tested with S.Rod Rita between both. The difference in spell burst rate was honestly barely noticeable with Rita.

I never believe that technique can effect spell burst..it only effect the critical rate when doing normal physical atk.

I never claimed my research as the way the game works. I claimed only what I saw through the gear switches. And I redid the test over and over, and Ultimi always won with no rita. Also, if you notice what I said earlier, obviously pure spell burst rate would be better to cause spell burst than just crit rate. Understand now? |

Not all xtals or gears are made for a reason, and not all xtals or gears are made to be superior. Some gears and xtals I even doubt has any purpose at all. I have doubts that CRT rate affects spell burst but then again, I made test only with an Enchanter using NOC and 1CRT stat, so the only thing I can prove is that it doesn't work for classes that do not have this innate ability. HW have this skill innately so I cannot contest it unless I have a HW to test it. From Prayerz tests, it suggests that CRT rate affects HW's innate ability and this might be possible until proven otherwise. I do not know what sample size Prayerz had with the test, it would help clarify if he mentioned more data, because a small sample size can easily be mislead by coincidence (in the same manner that rare drops can drop more than 5 times in 70 kills, which I experienced yesterday, while it can stretch to 600kills before dropping). Bigger sample size gives closer averages to the reality. |
