There are throwing knife sub weapons. As of right now you can only craft then at the blacksmith. Since they aren't a main weapon, there isn't really a build for them as the power of their attacks will depend on whatever you're using as a main weapon and the stats that you're using with it.
You can get the skill tree from the little girl npc wearing pink in the town near the exit. They're pretty weak skills though. You get a poison skill and a skill that reduced speed..but they don't do much dmg at all. They're more for adding evasion to your character.

Throwing weps would most likely fit with an agl/Dex build. Mp regen by hit and a bow to of course in thus recover said mp safetly by my guess , another one would be agl and crit with brawler knuckles and dagger passives making a avoid , DPs character a.k.a toram ninja and investing in all dagger skills (due to only needing the first brawler skill to break bosses even lvl1) it could work again with mp regen by hit in my opinion , of course its DPs would never be as good as nothing else but it work for something fun ,,=D also kaiser drops a damn good dagger that has a pretty high atk stat. Also maybe even just using a heavy sword so UR dagger skill DMG would be more efficient would be a weird but doable idea ,:3

Im agi dex with some crt they work great on my brawler which is mainly for breaking boss parts I did 5 in the first atk then 5 in the first kick I find its eaaier to break with the kicks range and also allows to break kaisers wings from the front. The rest of the pts are in passives to ramp up avoid I maxed the throwing avoid and the light armor specialist side of the armor skill and lots of fighting regen sure the dmg is much lower than my mage but I can usually never fail to break a boss and survive with nearly full hp and some mp to start next fight with a skill the other perk of brawler is the interupting bosses they sometimes never atk with heavy skill atks with a good brawler avoid ninja type.

Knife and it's first passive skill give Avoid, so it's usefull for agi chars, but never tried the throwing skill
