You can be an archer, mage, swordsman, and puncher at the same time, stats really don't matter that much XD

Im a lv 26 pure int mage, and I can solo each boss. Been soloing them even before I found the heal skill. Mages are extremely op in my opinion. It seems this game is making it harder on warrior classes tbh. Mages can just knock the enemy back while they heal, recharge, or throw another spell out, so it gives them an advantage. Warriors, on the other hand, have to be up close and confront enemies directly. It's more deadly, especially relying only on auto pots. Haha

Its not only auto pots o.o their only auto cause their automatically set that way when you start n.n you can easily shortcut them and use them freely, but yeah mage is way too op, max manawave hits up to 6 times for me at 600 per hit, as a swordsmen you get 600 single DMG from a skill. Plus that aoe makes you untouchable in a sense. Archer is pretty op too, knock back, slow, arrow rain, mp pot, rinse and repeat XD

Actually, to me stats do matter. For each class you need a certain stat and if you were to go hybrid then there are certain stats you'll need to rely on.
Mage: int Sword: Str Bow: Dex Fist: Agi (said by the game developers)
I cant be a mage without int -.\ or a swordsmen without str... it defeats the purpose of the class
I tend to go pure stat on each class, until i feel that i am well enough to go hybrid.
Put it like this. A Mage wanting to be a swordsmen at the same time. In this case stats do matter. Int and Str. This way if i wanted to do a simple switch from staff to a sword in my equipment. ... i could without lacking the damage i need. I could without having to change to an alt
In my opinion, stats do matter

I'm a direct contrast to all of that. T.T I'm a mage using a melee(not a bow) weapon and the only att spell I use is the arrow rain skill(mine does 4 hits of 800-900(or 1300-1400 if it crts..which happens often)). Almost everything else is passives(with the exception of the active healing spell). I have 2.1k hp and im pure str None of the monsters in the game (with the exception of that new purple golem) can get my hp past 1/4. Im pretty OP I'd say! I dont mean to brag I'm just trying to support my point don't hate me guys.
