There was a thread a while ago by crazyket here in which she tested out a Geobreaker build. It has some decent info in it about it. I switched into a Geo spam build today and tested out a few things. I went with an INT CRT DEX build. Max INT, 201 CRT, 92 DEX(so far). crazyket did an INT DEX CRT build. Max INT, max DEX, rest CRT. Based on what her skill delay was with her gear compared to mine I have come to the conclusion that DEX doesn't lower the skill delay of the skill as much as INT. With Fuma Shuriken(-.5 Sec) and Excelis(-1 sec) my skill delay for Geo was about 3ish seconds. crazykets used Fuma(-.5 sec), Excelis(-1 sec), and Wolf Ears(-.5 sec) and had a skill delay of about 2 seconds. Based on what I've seen on the JP wiki there was a time when they changed Geobreaker to include INT in skill delay reduction. This could have been added in after crazyket did her test. Also from what I've seen Geobreaker does NOT ignore DEF or get any sort of boost from DEF. It is simply a regular attack. HOWEVER it can proc Shell Break. Ex) I hit about 13k normally but I can randomly hit 20k's. This attack usually crits but can actually just be a regular hit too(similar to Sword Pillar). It can hit a maximum of 4 targets in a party and 3 solo. That's probably the main strength of the skill. At Megaroches I hit 13k to 3-4 monsters every 3 seconds. It's okay damage pretty much. I can get the delay to be a lot less. Consider it a pure DPS build AOE build. It's damage won't be fantastic probably until 220+ but it isn't awful. It is definitely party reliant at the point I'm at. May be less party reliant after 220 since I may be able to one hit kill mobs and fairly quickly. Will always work better with a tank/aoe puller since Geo is a PT AOE. I'm gonna stick with the build since I mostly XP in a party.

Yup, they need to improve the proc rate of shell break. 20% is too low to be useful when you really need them

I think there will be a claw that will increase Shell Break rate by a good bit. Otherwise level 2 Shell Break will probably boost the chances. There's also going to be another attack in the future that is like a spammable Shell Break from what I understand from JP wiki. It will also do more damage than Shell Break.

Geobreaker's damage is based off of ATK and Crit DMG only. It can also Shell Break like a regular attack. So if you are using Chakra then you will get ATK from INT or you could use Throwing and Chakra(a Geo spam build). INT also has a big effect on the skill delay of Geobreaker, more so than DEX actually. It's the only skill that uses INT for skill delay that I know of. My damage has increased since I started this thread. I can almost one hit kill Neknotts and Mantis now and once I can the levels will fly lol.

I was curious has anyone tested damage of int>crt>str geo monk? Str adds 2 ATk per point with throwing compared to dex being only 1 for 1, and seeing as int lowers delay I feel you could see big damage with str while still having decent delay. Any thoughts?

That will work in the future when stat release comes out(higher INT=lower DEX). The delay on Geo is just too long though. Besides 1 sec delay is twice as fast as 2 sec delay so the extra 1 ATK from STR wouldn't make up for that.

Ok cool. Maybe something to think about as we move towards the future then. Any idea as to how long we are from stat release? Been wondering for a while but my information is kinda scattered.

We're already at Thotras (1st palace), and there are 4 palaces (with Raaton being the last one). Status Release will be unlocked with the first mq of episode 3. So it's around 4-5 mq more.

I would also like to mention that you have to actually do the first MQ in Ep 3. Which means you have to beat Raaton at some point. If you are 240+ you can basically make him a joke for most parties though.

I'm only just an aspiring monk haha lvl 182 at the moment. Might be a while before I'm 240+, but thank you for the good info ^^

Didn't see the info up here so thought I would add it, sorry if this has been covered already. Heres how stats affect skill delay on Geo.
12 Int = -0.1 skill delay 16 Dex = -0.1 skill delay
