Hi All
Just a (hopefully) quick question: Is Indra worth getting if you're farming Megas? Compared to say Red Tengu? I see as much as 2x dmg for my HW and Bish when fighting element appropriate mobs but I don't know if this is true for melees esp since weapons aren't identical most of the time
Thank you

abusing the element gives 20% more damage, which also means 20% more critical damage.

Edit: Or not... was just looking at stats of both and Tengu already comes with 15% Crit dmg, and Indra has none. Would that mean it would only be 5% difference?

most use tengu for convenience purposes, but having all the elemental swords is an idea worth having in mind.

elemental advantage increase your base damage. not critical damage. your critical become high just because your base damage is now higher. we all know critical works as multiplier so 20% more base damage is somewhere around or more than 40% more critical damage. edited: i vote for yes. go for it. if you can get a wind blessing ability that will be awesome too.

I thought this was obvious and implied, reason why i didn't bother saying it.

Assume 1k normal dmg. 200% crt multipler.
20% elemental 1k + 20% elemental= 1.2k 1.2k x 200% = 2.4k dmg
20% crit dmg 1k + 0% elemental = 1k 200% +20% crit dmg =220% 1k x 220% = 2.2k dmg
Simplified from jp wiki formula for basis of basic comparison.

Thanks all! A tad confusing, lol, but I think the over all suggestion is to just get one. This guys will be doing a Lot of megas, lol so I think I will go for it
With a Crit/Str build, what would be the suggested Xtals? Limited budget so probably won't be able to afford the 'best', lol
Thank you!

Elemental advantage affects just your base damage output directly, not your critical damage, put simply. Indirectly, however, it affects your critical damage as well. But it isn't a 20% crit damage increase. It's whatever the multiplier hits based from your attack stat, crit stat, base damage, and elemental advantage combined. As syerin pointed out, as the base damage increases, the critical damage output will increase as well. As for what the percentage will be, not absolutely sure. It could be 1 solid percentage number, based from critical stat and factored through different variables, or it could just grow larger as you level up/increase your base damage. Your best bet is to personally test it. But yes, I believe we all suggest you try collecting more elemental weapons to max your damage output in the long run against every mob.
