Getting exp can be a bit of a long task. Especially if you are an assassin with little amounts of mp pots or no party. Assuming you are leveling alone, how do assassins level?
Getting exp for anyone without an AOE is tedious. All the grind spots that are good are also popular and crowded, meaning your exp rate is low because you can't kill.
Let's assume you are already an assassin, at level 140. You are built like a typical damage assassin, and you have no friends and no good grinding party. You should always have some MP pots on you, because it's not smart to depend on people who can heal mp if you can't find a party.
General tips:
- Anything that you can 1 hit is the fastest.
- Most bosses are good leveling spots if you can kill them within 5 seconds after you get Sicarius. There is no mob-grabbing competition.
- If you struggle to kill it, stop trying. It's inefficient for exp, and you're not built for sustained fights.
- Don't do Moss Golems.
Levels 140-180- Neknotts. Your backstab damage at 140 should be around 10k single, maybe up to 20k double.
Levels 180-240- Neknotts/High Ents. Assuming you're not max gear, you should get some fire elemental gear. Dragon Roar III works well on High Ents. If you can hit 120k, you can 1 hit high ents.
Levels 240-260- Sofys in Divine Tower level 6 is a good boss to kill for exp once you get Sicarius. You also get good abi drops.
- High Ents are fast exp as well, you should definitely be well past 1-hitting them.
- Nommars in Primordial Lands. They are fire element. If you have enough damage, you can try to 1 hit them (330k hp)
Level 260-280- Nommars. 1-shot these to solo, as you definitely should be able to.
- Yarde Quest. Parties are fairly popular, and if you are in one, try to be the mob killer. But even if you can't find one, grab a pet, some survival gear, and dark element weapon to kill Yardes. The sidatz and ratagne are easy one shots. Take the quest at the Underground Bailune merchant.
Level 280+- Almas. This may sound very strange to you, but you can both farm and level at Almas without using any potions. Your first hit of Sicarius needs to be approximately 470k. Your second and third hits must be around 600k. This is usually achieved through the assault buff increasing damage more than Sicarius. Play around with gear, and once you have the 3 hits correctly proportioned, you can solo.
- Megas. If you use elementals, Megas are water element. Using Wicktrace or Whirlwind can help you 1-shot megas (approx. 520k hp)
- Nommars. If you can't do either of the above, just continue leveling at nommars and getting gear until you can.
- Yarde Quest. Good if your exp fortune is very bad, since quest exp never goes down.
Level 300+- Yardes and Yarde Quest, except now you should be killing the Yardes in 2 hits. In a quest party, you are the yarde killer, though grind might be faster. Get a paladin to aoe guardian if you want to be extremely fast.
- Also Megas and Almas if you are fully solo.
Level 340+- Yardes. 1 shot yardes with your backstab and phantom step. You can just get an mp healer, or you can buy pots. It doesn't matter, you're rich at this point.
- 3i. You can 2-3shot 3i, so if you have anyone with an aoe, joining them is decently fast. Wearing paladin gear that heavily boosts HP, and using a high healing pet will make it solo-able.
- You might be able to 1 shot 3i if you get enough gear after 360, cap all your apo, but I believe at that point the purpose of a level guide is obsolete.
