I've seen people from the hub with clean accounts that got banned possibly for buying duplicated items.
Now, I'm not a hundred percent sure they are "clean" but if that's really true, then Asobimo would just be begging for a shut-down. They should apprehend the mod users, not the people who bought the exploited items. How will they even know they bought duped items?
It's bad enough they are lazy in hack-proofing their game, they're also punishing the wrong (and possibly paying) users. That's a whole new low for these developers.
Awesome game, questionable devs.

Awesome game, questionable devs. Buying Orichalcum from low lvl players is a bad idea. And there could be players who intentionally sell duplicate items at low price to ban others. So beware of low lvl players selling anything.

How can we know if an item is duped? I just learned this yesterday from a friend who warned me about buying stuffs.
Also banning the buyer? Ain't that kinda stupid if the buyer don't know that what he is buying is duped?
Does it apply to stall items? because if yes that is somewhat scary.

If you remember, I sold you 12 stacks of Orichalcum around that time when they were being duped, and people were getting banned for it.
Like Yazmat said, I also don’t know of anyone I’m 100% sure is clean, get banned. So, there is a good chance those people complaining they’re just buyers, are lying.

As for banning the buyer, i somewhat see why they did it. You cant prove the buyer DIDNT know or use the hack themselves, not to say the whole situation doesnt suck and shouldn't have happened. But If you leave enforcement of the rules up to the honor system ( believing everyone who says "hey, i bought this and didnt know, unban me), everyones going to try the same to get out of trouble. For now id say avoid ori in stalls, and either farm it yourself or from a trusted farm service, and screenshot trades just in case theyve moved onto other dupes. Again, it really sucks but thats the reality of the situation.

Lol, possible terrible business decisions? It has been a terrible execution from the start, and it doesn't even root from this, there's a ton more stuff. Uninteresting grinds, I've been talking about it a bunch but eh. The lack of focus on their international audience, the drop rate, the spina cap, tons more stuff. Banning people has always been like this since EP3 as far as I can recall, where instead of banning the countless amount of people using modification programs, they decided to go for someone who found an exploit in the MQ system, because it threatens their business model. Its the same case here. This company sure knows how to get the art direction spot on but they are absolutely clueless how to manage their games properly despite the fountains of player feedback given through reviews, emails and these forums too. Rant finished.

But, my point though it is too scary and very compromising for us who play fair (especially me who have no idea at all until a couple of days ago that this thing is happening) There is a saying in most games if you play fair and square then nothing to worry about. Which I guess doesn't apply with this ruling. Well, anyway is it only exclusive in Orichalcum? I just bought 5 Ori couple of days ago to +8 my ns weapon -.- Or it is applicable to all items? Damn this is really bothering.

I do not have a stall, could it be when I buy an item when I visit their island always shows nothing? I mean in search the item is present but when you click tilia or chat it says there is no item.

Damn this is really bothering. Ori is common item to duplicate. There are videos on YouTube about duplicating Sauro II xtals and other costly xtals too. Perhaps the items that can be stacked, hackers are duplicating those items somehow.
