So a few people ingame and on the forums think that Iruna is a pay to win game.
Maybe pay to show off or pay for more convenience but what are you actually winning by paying?
Iruna is a PVE (Player vs envirement) game with no leaderboards, ranks or acheivements.
Iruna is also an MMO. Which means that the game is prettymuch objective... One might play to get the highest possible production and one might play to get the highest level. Even if you do get to those goals, there are many others at that same level and if you think you are the highest, there is no way to officially verify it.
You could say it’s to win against a boss solo BUT with pets, is losing really even possible besides running out of time? Even if you do win, there was no chance to actually lose either...
A real pay to win game will need to be PVP or have some sort of a competitive win or lose element. Also it would need a direct way to purchase an advantage.
Lets say that there is a top 10 leaderboard in a game where ranks 2-10 have around 100 power. Rank #1 has 1000 power by purchasing power boosting items. Rank #1 would always be at the top of the leader boards and would crush anyone in PVP. This is a true Pay to win.
Just a slight rant/discussion type topic. Just IMO as well. I just dont get why people say this is a P2W game when there is no losing.
Any thoughts on this?

You are completely correct in saying that there is no way to "win" Iruna. But if we take a look at some common goals of most players: Finish MQ, Max level, Max prod, collect end-game gear. You can buy spina from a 3rd party and pay to get rushed through mq. You can buy spina from a 3rd party, buy tickets or exp boosters, and even pay someone to level you. You can buy spina from a 3rd party, pay farmers to collect all your items, and sit and produce till max level. You can buy spina from a 3rd party, or boost your drop rate through tickets and farm, and use spina to buy all your gear right away. The game has done nothing wrong really, besides make tickets more beneficial than they should be for a free game (debatably so). I think it's the players themselves that "buy gpc" or pay through their phone plan that has caused this strange culture of rushing to finish everything and be the best right away. In Iruna, you do kind of win if you are recognized as a good player, max everything out and whatnot. You simply don't get to join the best farming parties if you aren't the highest level/have the best gear. All of those things you can buy with real life money, so in that sense, yes. You can pay to become one of the top players. However, this 3rd party selling is not Iruna's doing, but our own.

True. Couldn't have said any better.
If anything, Iruna's the opposite of pay to win. You can have full tickets and still have the same crap drop rate with a free user. The x4 exp is nice though - if anyone thinks capping level is "winning".

No pvp means iruna is not pay to win game. However, main problem in iruna is crap drop rate for non full tix user. Today, non full tix players need at least 5-6 stk bosss common before get any single rare. Meanwhile, around 2 month ago, I need 1.5-3 boss common before I got any rare from boss (no full tix). Yea, drop rate still bad even for full tix user (I use full tix many times). But at least you will get any boss rare with full tix in one month. Non full tix user (I dont use full tix last month until now), never get any rare in a month x.x I dont know other player opinion, but this condition make iruna little bit exclusive for full tix user. Unlike before

Unlike before I agree with you Makina Yuki, I've played for almost 5 years, and I can say that, because I've never used a Ticket or buy Coins. I know Iruna and its Devs need money to keep working and have the mood to do it, but there is some things that are really unfair, like Drop rates, Exp boosters, Slot/2 Slot makers. Those things aren't necessary to play, but it's simply unfair that just "some" people can get them. About in game, is faster and easier kill any mob/boss having 2 Slot "Pro"-equipments and being lvl cap in a week, and some people kick anyone if is not "Pro" enough to be in a party (Have OP equip, and high level). I can farm 10+ Stks of "Ganei" and I cannot get even a Kodachi slot, specially with my first character (My HW 290); and about leveling, I need 1 day to level up 1 level with any of my characters if I do not use any exp booster. Maybe we do not have PVP, but Not All can afford to buy things in internet; like in the real life, some people have a better and easier life than others, some gain a lot more money doing practically "none" compared to people who get several diseases thanks to working 12 hours for minimal pay in the camp or building, and they didn't have any choice (Like here, Mexico, like my Dad and almost all of my family). Actually I'm the first person in my family studying anything, (I'm almost a nurse) and I bought my cellphone working with my Dad, who is builder, and sometimes working as a nurse. I talk Spanish, but I know a good amount of English (Thanks to my music, videogames preferences and practicing a lot), but I want to learn more, and someday move to USA, to try to have a "easier" life, because, to be honest USA is not too ****** like Mexico is. Fortunately Iruna is not necessary for live, and is just a game.

You can't win a mmo since there's no end, everyone being a d*** unless you're capped is what makes Iruna pay to "win", unless you love tapping the same buttons for 8 hours after looking and looking for a pt that doesn't sh, so no, Iruna isnt a pay to win, it's just pay to grind, enjoy skills, farm with people, get that said lvling party, bleh bleh bleh

1. need gears? lazy to farm? - buy spina then 2. so hard to farm 2s / spec slots? - lets wait for the cinders and 2 slotters and spend alot of money since we are rich anyway 3. lvling too slow? - buy full tix then 4. want a less crappy drop rate? - buy full tix and buy lots of drop books 5. omg i want to change my stats to become stronger - buy a stefly then -- dont rely on luck on daily stamp/ava box
anyways lets just have fun xD ---
still waiting to hit the jackpot on daily stamp or maybe a stroke of luck getting the stefly on boxes with the free box tickets

I've waiting for a long time to get any good looking face from Boxes using free Box tickets, and now she stills using one of the free faces when you make a new character, and that is really sad and disappointing to me... (-_-) I don't like any of the free faces (°~°)

Completely agree with you Tilt*Madara !
I've been playing this game ever since 2013 and am only lv 273. I am only here for my pleasure and doing everything at my own pace. I am not rushed since this is not a competitive game. I only pay when I think it will benefit me but honestly, I never really pay/ buy coins on Iruna even when I am tempted because I can spend my money on better things.
If you wanna see a real P2W game, just check out Legacy of Discord. I can guarantee you will then truly know the difference between F2W and P2W.

I remember using that tomato face on my main and I regretted it so much. I hated myself for doing that before I saw anyone else wear it and got stuck with the most disgusting face ever. I had to hide my eyes with sunglasses for a month until I had some money to open any costume box and fix myself. lol

Can't be paid to win on a game where everyone does there own thing on top of that no pvp pay to get stronger QUICKER maybe but who really cares if someone is paying to get stronger that has nothing to do with you doesn't effect you in anyway because there is way too many people playing this game to care alot of people are on the same boat as you if not most... played this game since beta could have been max but I reset my account too many times lol but that's on me like how you play to get stronger is on you

To me Tickets are like DLC in console videogames, It's like play and buy the game in parts. All hates to buy DLC And have or do not have Tickets affects "Iruna" gameplay. It's simply annoying, and unfair because not all, literally, CAN buy tickets. 90% of people who is saying Tickets are not unfair, surely they have used tickets, at least once.

Agreed, this game has no set goal. Everyone will play it their own way and some players influence might alter how others play. I personally play this game to try out different classes and reset when bored.(more than 1 year and the highest lvl I've reached is 265). Some player will just chill and play of a bit whilst others will be super serious. But being that super committed person doesn't win u anything. This is a rank free game. Whether u dish out 800k damage of 80k damage it doesn't matter. At the end of the day, if u are happy with what u achieve in the game (whether it be get a rare item, lvl up or have a nice convos with ur friends) then u are a winner. Just enjoy the game and u automatically win xD

This game is not Pay to Win. There are no rankings. No PVP. No head to head.
People who think this is pay to win just feel jealous/envious of what other players have achieved.
