You can turn the camera at any direction (up, down, right, left) by sliding the map icon on your screen. You can decrease the zoom of your camera by applying the "pincer" movement (touch two different points on your screen and slide your fingers to close to each other, without lifting your fingers from the screen). You can increase the zoom by doing the opposite movement (touch the screen and slide your fingers to far to each other).

Skills are special moves that can be used for: healing, dealing damage, enhancing player’s abilities (commonly known as "Buff") and so on. A skill consumes magic points (MP) and can be used by setting the skill in a shortcut (explained below) and tapping it. You can aim manually by touching the monster first then tapping the skill, or double tapping the skill to use it on the closest target. Skills like “Mini Heal” can be used on other players. Just touch the person’s avatar and tap the skill.

Shortcuts can be edited in Menu>Settings>Shortcuts. In the shortcut edit window, you can choose the number of shortcuts shown in your screen and what each shortcut does.

You can edit up to five pages of shortcuts. What may seem like an exaggeration now, but it can be useful in the future.

To change the shortcut function, first tap the shortcut and then choose its function (you can choose between Skill, Recovery, Emotion, etc.). A small window is shown to describe the function when you select it. Shortcuts can affect your playstyle and reflect your game experience. Feel free to edit them as you like.

Your HP and MP can be recovered with the use of potions and other recovery items. Potions are set in the shortcut just like skills. If you don’t want to spend your precious potions, just stop moving for a while and your HP and MP will regenerate. Sitting works fine too. Further in the game, you will find out other ways of recovering yourself.

You can tap the “Chat” button at the top right of your screen and write what you want to say. Remember that the limit for each message is 26 characters and that if you speak the same thing more than 3 times you will get a penalty (Asobimo does this to avoid message spamming). By sliding the “Chat” button to the left, you will see various other types of chat, each one have its own purpose:

Say- Used to talk with nearby players. Everybody around you will hear (or see) what you are saying.

Tell- Used to talk with someone in your friend/guild mmbers list. This chat is available only if at least one of your friends is online. When you chat with someone, just you and him/her can see your messages. When you join a Guild, you can talk to a guild member privately by accessing Menu>Community>Guild>tap the member's name>Chat.

Party- Used to talk with your party. This chat is available only if you are in a party and only the party members can see what you are saying.

Group- Used to talk in a group chat. This chat is available only while you are inside a group chat, which is found in Menu Community>Group Chat>Search. To enter a group chat, double tap the name of the group. Only the group members can see what do you say in the “Group chat”.

Guild- Same as the group chat, but applied to a guild. The guild subjects are extensive so let’s leave the explanation to specific threads. Only guildmates can see what do you say in the “Guild chat”.

Shout- Used to communicate to anyone in the map. This chat type is only available to ticket users, which means that you can only use this once you purchase monthly tickets with real money. In the Shout chat, everybody in the map will see what you are saying.

Trade- Same as the Shout, it is used to show the people that you are willing to do a trade. Also only available to ticket users.

Note: You can talk to other players by using Tell, Party, Guild or Group modes even if they are not in the same server or the same area as you, as long as you meet the requirements for each chat mode. Say, Shout and Trade modes are limited to players in the same server and area.

Another way to chat is to tap the small button “Say” above the log window. By doing this, the chat types will appear and you can choose one to use. This is not an easy way to chat because the button is somewhat small.

When you get an equipment, it can be checked by entering in the Menu>Character>Equipment. Equipped items will be highlighted in blue.

To check a new item, just tap it to see the equipment’s description window right below your avatar. There are two pages:

Page 1- Shows the equipment attack/defense values and its effects,

Page 2- Shows if the equipment has a star ability attached and/or if it has slot. Slotted equipment that have crystas on them will show the equipped crysta here too. If you see “Trade X” means you cannot trade this equipment with another player.

To swap between the pages, just tap the description window.

If you tap the selected item again you will equip it. Weapons, armor and additional can’t be unequipped, while accessories and special equipment can be taken off. To unequip an item, tap it to turn off the highlight.

If you lost some information in the log window, just open the Menu and tap the log window. The log can be filtered by the type of chat (All, Say, Shout, Tell, Party, Guild, Trade, NPC).

The log from Say, Tell, Shout, Trade and NPC will be erased once you disconnect from the game. Party, Guild and Group logs are saved as long as you stay in the Party, inside Group Chat room or in your Guild.

There are three level division of classes in Iruna: Novice, Intermediate and Full. To change to a new class, you need to meet at least the level requirement, but some classes may require some skills learned and even a quest done to allow changing. The class change will always be held by some NPC in Iruna.

The classes in Iruna follow the tree system, that means the Adventurer class can become one of 11 different Full classes (it will be 12 in the future). If you do some search about "Iruna class tree" you will understand more about this system.

You can work as an apprentice of each class before changing to a definitive class, this is good to test out the next class characteristics, and you can change freely between the apprentice classes of the same branch. When you change to a definitive class though, there’s no turning back, so CHOOSE CAREFULLY!

Here is a simple example using the Full Class High Wizard:

Level 1~15: Adventurer* - first branch division, can become Warrior or Mage;
Level 15+: Apprentice Mage;
Level 20+: Mage (Novice) - second branch division, can become Cleric or Wizard;
Level 50+required skills: Apprentice Wizard;
Level 70+: Wizard (Intermediate) - third branch division, can become High Wizard, Enchanter or Necromancer;
Level 120+required skills: Apprentice High Wizard;
Level 140+: High Wizard (Full).

*Adventurer is considered a Full class in Iruna too. To stay as an Adventurer, select “Let me consider” when Varuna gives you the option to become either Apprentice Warrior or Apprentice Mage. All classes are listed and described in details by this forum, so take your time and do some research, you can even find out that there are special classes that I haven’t mentioned here. I suggest you to decide what class you want to be BEFORE proceeding in the game.

In the Menu>Character>Stats, you can check your stats and distribute your Stat Points (SP). It is good to choose your final class before start using those points, because after you reach level 50 there’s no way of resetting them unless you use a Stefly's Book, and it is VERY hard to get one without buying it with real money. Before level 50 you can speak to Varuna and reset your points for free. Explaining each stat will take too much time and you can have a better idea by reading specific threads. In a short way:

STR- Strength increases the power of physical attacks - Increase in Attack (ATK) depends on equipment;
VIT- Vitality increases your defense (DEF), magic defense (MDEF) and max hp;
INT- Intelligence increases your magic attack (MATK), magic defense and max mp;
AGI- Agility increases your evasion (EVA) and attack speed (ASPD);
DEX- Dexterity increases your accuracy (HIT), cast speed (CSPD) and decreases skill delay time;
CRT- Critical increases the critical rate and critical damage.

By each level up you get 3 Stat Points and the maximum value for each stat is 256. Each class benefit itself by raising specific stats, that’s why you need to know your final class beforehand.

If you get lost and do not know what to do or where to go next, open the Menu>Character>Quest and check your current quest. The first one is your Main Quest (MQ or history quest), the other quests can be obtained by talking to NPCs along the way. You can take 4 different quests at once (including Main Quest), and you can quit a quest at any time by selecting it and choose “Quit Quest”. You cannot leave the Main Quest.

You can send mail in the Menu>Community>Mail (scroll down the menu to find it). A mail needs an addressee and at least one character in the text body, while the title is optional. Every mail received will be in your inbox, to read a mail just select it and choose “Open”. The inbox has a storage limit of 60 messages, so remember to check it from time to time.

To send an item to someone, just touch the “Attach Item” textbox and choose what you want to send. To receive an item attached in a mail (you know when an item comes in a mail because you can see a gift symbol before the mail), by selecting the mail and choosing “Receive”, the item will be moved to your bag. You can't receive item from your mail if your bag is full.

There are various ways to invite someone to a party, but first is recommended to ask this person if he/she wants to join. If the other person accepts, then you can touch the player’s avatar, and then touch his/her Hp bar, where it says “CONTACT”, this will open a window with a lot of options (including “Send Mail” option too). Choose “Invite to Party” and this person will receive the request. If the request fail, that means the other person is already in a party and need to leave before joining a new one.

If you access Menu>Community>Target>tap the player's name, you can select anyone in the map to send a party invitation. This can be used to send friend requests and send mail too.

By opening the Menu>Community>Party, you can check the party member’s job, their level, you can leave the party, disband it or kick other members if you are the leader.

The same method applied to form parties can be used here, but instead of choosing “Invite to Party”, this time you will choose “Add Friend”. Sending various friend requests at random will attract anger towards you (always talk to a person before becoming his/her friend). The same person can be in the Friend List of various other players, and vice-versa. Once you add someone in your Friend List, you can check this person's activity by opening the Menu>Community>Friend. If the person’s name is highlighted, this person is online.

By selecting the person’s name, you can chat, send mail, request party, etc. If the person is online but the name is still dark, that probably means he/she deleted your name from his/her friend list.

You can use the same method again to do trades, but you can’t send trade requests to someone without a communication channel between you two. Trades can be performed by two players in the same Group Chat room, players in the same Party, players in the same Guild or between Friends.

First off, check your bag and see if you have enough space to receive new items. ALWAYS keep free spaces in your bag for emergencies.

To do a Trade, both players need to be in the same map and server, then one of them will send the trade request (if the two send a request, both will fail). After accepting the request, you can select the items you want to trade and set their quantity. The Trade has four free spaces and each space can hold max of 99 recovery, consumables, collectables and ores or 1 equipment.

Example of this: In a single Trade, you can't send 2 Shortsword + 4 Hematite + 99 Colon Leaf + 1 Hachigane, but you can send 1 Shotsword + 1 Shortsword + 4 Hematite + 99 Colon Leaf. The Hachigane can be sent alone in another Trade operation.

Spina can be traded by tapping the spina and either tapping the "+" button to add 1 spina per time or tapping the textbox and entering the whole number without the dots (max value is 1.000.000.000 - one billion, try not to confuse yourself with so many zeroes). The next step is to confirm the item/spina selection and a window with the trade objects will appear. Remember to always double check the Trade, you do not need to rush yourself. If everything is ok, press either "Confirm" or "Cancel" to conclude the operation.

The usual way to get new stuff is by killing monsters and collect their drops or by fulfilling quests. This is usual, but not easy. Better equipment are hard to drop, you need to be patient and keep trying.

Which monsters drop equipment, do you ask? There are many. The best way to know is to kill every monster you see in front of you. All monsters drop four different item, so if you get four different drop and don’t get an equipment, start killing another type of monster.

The advanced way of getting equipment is buying from other players. You can either trade or buy items from stall. The stall will be explained in the "What is" section.

There are infinity ways to make spina, but the most basic is: kill the monsters, collect their drop and sell it to the merchant. You will find out various other way to get money even faster along the game. JUST DO NOT SCAM OR BEG FOR SPINA.

Skills can be obtained by 3 ways: You can learn them when you change your job, when you use a specific item (a Skill Book) or when you complete “Skill Quests”. Each skill is obtained ONLY by one of the mentioned ways.

Skill Books can be dropped by monsters too, like Equipment and Items to sell. If you stop to think, Iruna logic is kind of simple: Most of your problems can be solved by killing those poor things.

Town Portal is an item that allow you to travel instantly to a place without having to walk all the way until there. Tps are identified by a star symbol before the item name and are always located in the “Consumables” section.

Consumable is an item that causes an effect on the player (be it good or not). The Vita Plus (S), for example, raises your max Hp by 500 points by a limited time. The remaining time can be seem when you open the menu.

When you collect 99 of the same item, you have one stack. Recovery items, consumables, collectables and ores can be stored in stacks. Equipment can't be stored in stacks.

An equipment can appear in two ways: non-slotted or slotted. Non-Slotted (NS) or Slotted (S). When you are selling items to NPC, during trades, while you check your storage and inside Menu>Character>Equipment, an equipment NS will be shown in RED, while slotted ones will be BLUE. An equipment with slot can be loaded with a crysta, adding effects on it, that’s why they worth more.

People usually refers to equipment like this: [name of item] ns for non-slotted ones and [name of item] s for slotted.

A crysta is a type of ore that can be equipped in your weapon, armor, additional and special if they have slot on them, to increase some stats or add unique effects. Crystas are drop by some monsters and bosses and can be identified by the green color and the small diamond symbol before the item name. Little by little you will understand more about them.

Star ability is a special ability that sometimes comes attached to an equipment, be the equipment slotted or non-slotted. Like what happens with the crystas, the player who uses an equipment with star ability will have advantage over common equipment. You can identify an equipment with star ability by either reading its description page in Menu>Equipment>select the equipment>read description page 2/2 or by accessing Menu>Item>Equipment and looking for a star symbol after the equipment name.

The mechanics of star abilities are somewhat complex and they are more used for fine adjustments in your build. Anyone can play fine without them.

“Build” is a term to define the construction of your character, that is, the combination of stats and gears you are using (gears are optional). For example, one possible builds for Paladin is VIT>DEX>INT Special Sword user. The order of the stats show their priority, that means VIT will take priority over DEX (since this build focus on defense) while INT will impact less in your build (giving more resistance against magic attacks, but DEX is more relevant because the increase in accuracy and decrease in skill delay). The Special Sword is a weapon that raises your ATK mainly by the amount of VIT and DEX you have.

Builds are an extensive matter and you can get tired of reading so much stuff. Try to do a simple study of all the classes characteristics, then choose the one you like the most. Then start looking for the possible builds you can use in your class. Remember, you don’t need to follow exactly what a guide says, you must play in your own pace and limits.

Skill delay is the amount of time you have to wait before using a skill again. This time can be reduced with the use of equipment that provides a skill delay reduction, crystas, specific skills, star abilities and/or by adding DEX. Your skill delay cannot be reduced to less than 1 second.

You can strengthen your equipment or create new stuff by leveling your production skills. There are six different skills:

Smithing: You can make swords, armor and other metal related items;
Carpentry: You can make bows, staffs and other wood related items;
Tailoring: You can make additional, armor and other cloth related items;

Alchemy: You can make TPs, recovery and other alchemy related items,
Cooking: You can make consumables and other food related items.

A stall is a feature that allow players to put items to sell in their islands without need to do trades personally. To check a stall, talk to any merchant NPC, choose “General store” then “Check the classifieds”. In the next screen, you can choose to see the newest stalls or check your friend’s stalls, if they have one. In the island list, you can check the available items by tapping the button “Check Item(s)”, and if the stall has something you want to buy, tap the island name and choose “Yes”.

When you are in the island, look for the NPC “Tillia” or “Chat”. By talking to them you will be able to buy the items you saw earlier. To quit the island, access Menu>Move/End>To Iruna.

To search for a specific item in the stall, access Menu>Island>select “Yes”>Search Item. This is a very useful trick, but you need to know the name of the item first.

To put it simple, the island is a place where you can put a stall and raise your pets and grow crops. The stall and the planter can be purchased with real money, while pets can appear in you island after meet some requirements. You can even decorate your island with “Island Objects” found in-game.

A pet is a monster that can appear in your island once meet some requirements. You can give items to the monster to raise its affinity. Once the affinity reachs a certain value, the monster can be summoned to your party IF you are not in a regular party. To summon a pet, go to Menu>Character>Pet Orders>Summon.

Fighting together with a pet is useful in solo play because the pet can revive you if you die. You can also change pet's battle style in Menu>Character>Pet Orders>Edit Orders (Button at bottom right of your screen).

A storage is a place where you can put the items you don’t use frequently. The storage can be found at the merchant of each town, and can hold up to 30 items at first.

Beggar is someone you don’t want to become, and I hope you don’t become one, that’s why I’m writing this guide. A beggar is someone that continually asks for help or items for others and is extremely dependent of people’s charity. People tend to dislike this kind of player, so keep trying to do things on your own and ask for help ONLY WHEN IT IS REALLY NECESSARY, AND NEVER EVER ASK FOR SPINA TO OTHER PLAYERS.

When asking for help, though, be polite to other people and be prepared to hear a couple of “no”.

Death is a constant in Iruna, you will probably be used to it after some time. The first time, though, can be somewhat frightening: a countdown starts and you don’t know what to do. Will you disappear forever? Do you have to start all over again?

Do not despair yourself, after the countdown reaches zero you will respawn in the last city you visited. If you don’t want to wait, just click the “Town” button in the top left of your screen. While dead, you can still use the "Chat" button.

Your items, spina and experience will be intact after you spawn in the city.

Towns or cities are usually located after some monster maps, just keep proceeding and you will eventually find one. Iruna does not have a linear map, what sometimes can lead you to a dead end in a boss area.
