While I know that Pet Food and it's "upgraded" forms can result in a perfect pet, I lack both the Production level and the moneymaking ability to do this. Production can be fixed, but not the moneymaking; I'm only level 183.
So I instead feed my pet Ether: I did the usual "6 Mini Haniwas" thing, except I had a good fortune and got a Kijimu at 4. I checked it's stat growth here, and what the site claims seems to work in practice, when it levels up it usually gets 1 DEX, almost always get 2 or 3 VIT and INT, and has only gotten the others once or twice. And considering Ether gives a large boost to INT and DEX as well as a respectable one to VIT, and that nothing else I could search up came close to that build barring Pet Food, I decided to use Ether. It raises the stats I need for my pet(Whatever makes it live as long as possible to save my garbage interfike ninja from stuns and maybe keep itself alive with meaningful heals; I also heard VIT makes it revive faster), which also happen to be it's best stats
I just have a few issues with this. AGI meaning no attack speed doesn't really matter as it's usually on Relax or Protect, though it can be annoying. But having 3 stats at or near 0 seems like it's going to bottle neck my Pet's maximum level. Does this actually happen? Or do the stats become so high that it never becomes a problem in practice? If an INT/VIT>DEX build for a Kijimu isn't effective (at least to support a Ninja), do you think Pet Food is worth it for the likely faster leveling?
tl;dr I feed my Kijimu Ether so it can live to revive me. Are INT/VIT/DEX going to cap out and screw me over in Pet Levels? If so, would you suggest Pet Food? Does VIT actually do anything to respawn time?
EDIT: My "alternate" plan is to feed it Fallen Angel Tears(which it likes) from Grecia and keep it on permanent Bathe becuase those raise everything slightly, but lower VIT slightly. ALso, farming Grecia and Dark Crystal also gives me a chance at their wonderful xtals to fix the spina problem I've been talking about, as well as free Orichalum from Dark Crystal and free Ether from Grecia.
However chances are with only 6 Mini Haniwa, my VIT is probably still going to go negative or barely positive from that unless I level up my Production and get some Blocks and such, and because VIT is the most important part of my pet's function, which is staying alive so it can kill itself and save me from getting instastunned at the beginning of every Episode 2 Boss(Jesus christ, I just want to unlock apostolia...), it may not be a risk my pet can afford (most of the bosses already almost 1-shot or flat-out 1-shot it with AoE).
