Okay, I don't really see this come up very often, but I just feel the need to bring this up.
An Alchemist does make some pretty good use of the atk stat and critical damage.
I made an Alchemist with my good friend (who never uses these forums) helper .
I play with his char sometimes, very rarely, but I do know some stuff about Alchemist from my experience.
The new accelerate buff gives cspd+10%, aspd+10% and some kind of movement speed bonus. Helper has dual blow though, so aspd isn't much of an issue- and even if he didn't, you can spam killing throw for good damage if you have no aspd.
That does bring up the next thing I need to mention. Killing Throw, along with venom bomb, is based off of critical damage. The new blood throw buff gives a nice critical damage+10% buff as well as a bleed effect onto Killing Throw, which seems to be based off of your atk (? not sure).
I just wanna say here that you get a lot more leverage off of an Alchemist if you use both int and crt, bloom blizzard is cute and all but it's slow and ends up being not good damage at all against anything NOT fire element. If anything, frozen enemies have their defense stat lowered, so it makes more sense to just use bloom blizzard for the freeze and auto attack from there.
Currently, Helper does 17k auto attack (with blood throw buff), 13k seele auto, and 11k from WoL. But all this is helped by a LOT of damage over time from Poison (20k) Bleed (8k) and Curse Rain (5k, this is matk based though, if you cast this with a rod, it will do more damage). It's smart to use rods to cast your spells, but then switch to a weapon with good attack afterwards.
So yeah, just wanted to point out that Alchemists get a fair bit of use of their critical damage.
