Hello all,
So this will be my first time ever choosing a different class other than some sort of buffer class, or heavy magic based class, except for Ninja..
I haven't made an alt yet for my PLD to be, cus I want to get everything down right first rather than mess up and restart a few times. Plus I still need to farm for my gear and xtals.
My gear set up:
Weapon: Wound Transfer (Special Sword): Max HP + 15%, Reflect + 5%, DEF up by DEX. (Crysta:+20%hp) (Ability:☆hp) Armor: Heinrich Mail: ATK +8%, MATK +8%, Melee Pierce +2%, Magic Pierce +2%, Cut Damage if HP is less than 25%, Magic Evasion +5%. (Crysta:Dorry) (Ability:☆hp)
Add. Equip: Wolf Ears: Hate Rise +20%, Heal reward +500, Rate cut +15%, Skill Delay -0.5 seconds. (Crysta:+20%hp) (Ability:☆hp)
Spec. Equip: Myrica Wristlet: VIT up based on 50% of Lv with Swords, Neutral R +5%. (Crysta:Ganei) (Ability:☆hp)
Errrmmm soooo that's how I envisioned what my gear set up would be. I'm kind of all over the place with hp and attack. That's what I'm planning on going for unless there's something wrong with my gear set up. I kind of want to have hp and deal some damage at the same time.
Edit: So I'll possibly change the Crysta to the +20%hp rather have Piton xtal. We'll see..
Edit again: Yeah so I'll add the +20hp% xtals. I'm still looking through and trying to add up stats and see what works out. I'll have to wait till maybe next year to make my PLD. I'll be farming the crap out of Dorry when Christmas event is out. Maybe I'll use Magonza, but idk if 3%attack is much of a difference or not.

Myrica Wristlet would be a better option over Knight Gauntlet. It gives you the amount of VIT equal to the half of your level...
Like if you are level 100, it gives you 50 VIT so it's pretty useful and preferable over Knight Gauntlet.

And, please, do not use ganei on add. (>.<) Guardian's (Paladin skill at lvl 160 and 200) damage is calculated by both atk and hp. If you have less budget hp+20% is the best. Otherwise, you can use atk gear. Like Excalibur said, myrica is a lot better than kgs. When you level around 250 or higher, even myrica ns will be better than kgs/douin (for hp gear). And, you can upgrade your sword, the upgraded version have come out for a while. Anyway, this is just my suggestion. Maybe, someone will give you a better idea.

Oops sorry, I meant to put Ganei on KG. That way the -30%hp would cancel out. Fixed my original post. I chose Piton for the +10%mp, cus I wasn't sure if this would make a difference for my mp pool or not. But if the +20%hp xtal is better, alright then lol.

Also do you know how much Myrica Ns/S is?

Your gear set sounds good but if you dont want to reset u have to stick to this build for max atk with knighs oath max vit first then dex max 256 vit 256 dex save your point for apostolia i belive at lv a 166 you will cap vit and dex save your points from lv 166 to 207 i thin ks the lv you get if you complete mq save thos points and put it on red and over cap vit and then dex so that why you will have huge def and good amount of damg for xt try to get oritus for sword for armor ether magonza or dorry for add vida xt and on sp ganei try to up heinrich and wound tranfer and swich wolf ears for granvia shiel is better

Before Lv160 you will be using hardhit so you might want to have -skill delay and ATK gear. I suggest you do as much MQ as you can to get to Lv160. Life for a Paladin is terrible without Guardian. Fortunately, with the right gear, you can solo your MQ easily as a Paladin, and you'd be Lv160 in no time. So your progress really depends on the resources you have (buy lots of pots, or farm Sp. Rev Ales/Thick revs/etc. it helps solo MQ bosses by alot). You don't really need a reset book. Just max VIT, max Dex, rest STR and you'll be fine. Once you get apostolia, you just do the same progress over again (max VIT, then DEX, then STR). This is the ultimate build for high power Knights Oath as much as it is for Guardian. I have 100points in RD since it seemed like a better deal for Guardian plus I've been fooling around with purple lines, but I'm removing it for Knight's Oath. You'll learn more when you get there.

Heres my two cents o.o Stats: vit/dex/str, reason for that being, u want high attack/dmg, guardian is based on hp/str, also at lvl 180+ your skills make up for lack of int, also pally is the only class i've made (bk/gladi were others) that can solo ptd relatively fast solo, i recommend that from 180 to 200 ish, then maybe get 220 off mq. Equips:for dmg i recommend izu/suigestu,hien up suigestu, barb up(when its out)or scapello s vida, and myrica wristlet...before u have apostola tho it'll make ur hp low, so use ideasol/hp+20% for the extra tanky ability. For your mq/tanky set, ama no habakiri(for mdef) or wound transer(fro def),litch, ideasol/edel hood, myrica wristlet, you can use hp+20% on litch..but i personally never had a hp+20% on armour.. ._. ...or sword...or add....or spec... Things you should know: • paladin is probably... Wtf am i saying..paladin is the absolute BOMB for farming, right after gaurdian you can abuse the spawn glitch, if u have a way to rec mp, u never run out of mobs to lay the smack down on. •grinding is the most easiest thing to do on pally, once u get a good pally just keep your gaurdain button in the top right corner and u can spam that while u watch anime/tv...best class evar • paladin is a pretty forgiving class, its the super sweet best friend of classes, you can use any gears u want, just experiment and have fun with it. Paladin gears are 100% up to the player, some say lion shield is the best equip for pally, i say stop spamming me, im only not using it because your telling me i should use it. So just have fun and u cant go wrong *-*/

Also the two previous posts talked about just maxing vit>dex, then re-maxing them again. Can you give your opinion on this?

Well over maxed vit is good, with spec swords u get .5 more atk for each dex then str, so if u like spec swords over cap dex,if u like norm swords do str..dex also effects buff speed..but for gaurdain spam u need .5 secs on gear(mine is from litch)
Also, the reason for 180 replacing int is you get heal reward(effect up by vit/lvl) which adds 1k to all heals on u, and fortis, a 30sec buff that reduces alot of magic dmg

So if i went all vit>dex how well would you do with a low mp pool?
What would your base int be, say around lvl200 with no stats in int?

So if i went all vit>dex how well would you do with a low mp pool? What would your base int be, say around lvl200 with no stats in int? Int onlygives +4mp per point. There is almost no different, especially lower than 200int which means less than 800 mp different.

(when I had 256 int I used to regenerate full mp in 30 seconds... now with 1 int it takes me 2~3 minutes .... or maybe even more)
