This skill isn't an AOE spam type like Gladiator's Pillar Blade.
When you cast Round Up (Swoop) a buff "Special attack" occurs.
For 10mins duration any offensive skill you use as a finishing blow for the mob, this swoop (white pillar blade) effect shows up, slashing enemies (at the maximum number of___??) Around you.
Meaning that the last offensive skill that kills the mob will become an AOE.
As I've tested this one if you are a Vit/Evasion type samurai, the best practice to grind with Round up is to lure 3 mobs at a time. Slashing Issen to the one and once the HP left allows your f.stroke damage to finish it the surrounding other two will be included,
And finish the Mob B with Issen and using Issen as(last blow) will hit the Mob C and so on til the 3mobs down. Theres also a chance to lure another enemy as the range is quiet wide but thats the best practice I can suggest each 30s (F.stroke exhaust cooldown)
If you discovered something and/or if theres any mistake on the statement I mentioned above plese correct me.
PS,
I've tested this at nommars so grind effectiveness may differ depending on the mobs you grind using the one I suggested
