TBH I'm still confused with this break thing. If a skill inflicts flinch, tumble, or stun it is a Breaker skill. Basically when you inflict these status effects a circle will appear on a part of the boss and you tap it in order to break it. Some bosses have multiple break points and you will have to maneuver around to get them or your party will tap them for you, hopefully the latter lol. The classes that are best at breaking are Knuckles and 1H Sword users. If a boss as low HP and you want to Break it before you kill it then you are gonna have to use Smash, Sonic Wave, or Hard Hit by themselves in order to Flinch or Tumble the boss to reveal the break point. Fear not though, Knuckles and 1H Sword users don't do a lot of damage(more so Knuckles) so they can Break and not kill most bosses at the moment. Things like Excavated Golem will end up not being fully breakable at higher levels at some point probably when we get more levels xD.

You can always dumb down your weapon for breaking (cats paw) or just bare knuckle it (not recommended. Painfully slow to finish even a weak boss bare knuckle)

Flinch, tumble and stun skills will all break. Which one is the best will depend on what your fighting to some extent. Generally tumble and stun is hated by most bosses and alot will go into evasion/guard mode. If you spam those skills or set up combos and keep using it again and again the fight will take FOREVER! Knockback skills (eg. magic wall) can cause similar things to happen but not as bad a stun/tumble. Flinch on the other hand has a shorter break time, interupts for 1s and there's no evasion/guard side effects from spamming it. You can go test this out at dark dragon decel. Get a brawler or someone with those skills and pew pew away with stun/tumble constantly. You'll break everything but the fight can take 2minutes. Then do it again but only use flinch skills to break, you can break all and kill it very quickly. Around 30secs. Get organised with a full party and you can happily pull 15secs kills and break it fully. Stun/tumble are great for breaking and control but may not be the best thing to use. The side effects from using them can be a big zzzzzzz. Spending 2mins to kill decel becuase of stun/tumble spam sucks, volg can be done in a similar time, alot less with good dps,and it has x4 decels HP! I'd argue that one of the best break skills is spiral air, it does a ton of damage and if it hits it a 100% break as a flinch. With teamwork and positioning you can break everything from one use. If you do way too much damage, nerf yourself . Equip a bad weapon or magicians ring. Keep in mind the more damage you do the less taps are needed to break. You can also go tekkan tae kwon do style, unarmed. Don't expect to kill things quickly though and only brawler skill will work to break like this.

In addition to the above statement. Use a weapon which your primary stat is not affecting it. or use the lowest damaging weapon.
My main character is a Mage but I took the Martial arts skill for breaking, used a normal knuckle, break all breakable points and let my party members kill it.
