There is a STR/CRIT/AGI build but why have STR if AGI adds the same damage and more when wearing a claw?? Am I missing something? Does STR add more skill damage?

Yes, it adds more dmg cuz skills are based on str, and furthermore u can use swords, wich raise even more ur dmg due to sword mastery pasive. Anyway, for claw user I would say AGI/CRT/STR bcuz u get higher survivability at lower levels.

Edit: This is the only one I have read so far that directly relates dmg to STR irunaonline.boards.net/thread/4332/pillar-blade-damage?page=2

Yeah lol and you can't use it with claws. Also the amount of bar in Solid Skin relates to STR.

Thought sword tempest was str based too. My apologizes. No worries, just wanted to clarify. As Famine said in that linked thread, even he's not 100% sure that info is accurate (that Pillar is based on STR).

Thought sword tempest was str based too. My apologizes. according to a japanese blogger here, in his postscript, sword tempest damage formula is including STR. AGI and tempest %; something like this: Critical damage × ((STR ÷ 100) + 0.5 + (AGI / 200) + (tempest % / 1000))its easily can be noticed that higher tempest gauge% makes sword tempest damage become higher, but i cant confirm about STR and AGI.
i cant fully confirm this formula because as far as i know only this japanese blogger says sword tempest have formula like that.

Str lets you use swords. Sword tempest and pillar blade requires a sword to be used.
Soo... Why not?

Str lets you use swords. Sword tempest and pillar blade requires a sword to be used. Soo... Why not? Not sure what or who this is in reply to, but remember that only 1 of the 3 Types of swords rely heavily on str. And even with normal swords, str does Not "let you use swords" since even a 1 str char can wield them (crappy dog, but doable)

Does STR add more skill damage? im will not gonna comment about what type of weapon gladiators should use or its advantage/disadvantage, unless you ask to do so.. but i will give opinion why he/she raise STR. maybe that person have STR on claw even if AGI give same amount of ATK because he/she want big green HP amount on green bar that created by lv150 solid skin skill. as far as i know only STR affects amount of that HP on green bar (HP amount = STRx20). refer this japanese blogger. i also did my own test based on that blogger's formula long time ago and i think he tell the truth, see picture below. maybe STR have big role on damage formulation of other skill like astute and hardhit, but i dont have any proof.

This is the best way to gain more atk. I apologize for my bad english lol
