Now there isn't a drastic difference between these but still a little difference so DEX wins. If you wanted to switch between 1H and 2H sword you would probably be fine just adding STR instead of DEX, if you don't want to switch between those just add DEX. DEX also increases CSPD which makes spells faster but I don't think Mages need DEX at the moment, INT is way more important for them. DEX is also for Archers It is however their main stat no matter what though.

Depends on your build my 1h sword is mostly str based and heres why that tiny bit of aspd that str adds. I can see why people would say dex is superior it will help auto attacks hit more often but with astutes crt rate increase I dont find myself missing very much at all with out having allot of dex. So mainly I wanted to leave it open to switch between 1hand and 2hand swords which adding to much dex would affect 2h performance while just being purely str doesnt affect either stat wise. Current stats are 102str and 20dex which gives me around 340dmg and 926aspd with my 1h sword.

Yup at lvl 41 with 102str and 20dex with light wolf armor, dragon sword, and dog ears im at 1005aspd almost no delay at all. Im starting to add crt now though amd still have 5lvls in aspd passive I can add later. The damage is pretty good I use a 5 skill combo set to end with trigger slash and the whole chain only uses 100mp so I few quick slashes in between always has me ready for another set of combos. Also switching to a 2h weapon of course loses that 500aspd but it hits like a truck. So str isnt always a bad thing.

All with the consecutive effect. I think Trigger Slash has an effect on the action speed of the next attack so I feel like it shouldn't be last though.

Yup its astute-hard hit-sonic blade-spiral air-trigger slash. And the effect on trigger slash is increased mp regen on attack tell the next skill is used, so if used at the end you will have a buff that lasts tell you combo again and you will notice mp regen on attack goes up by a good deal. Also I feel that its best to stagger the flinch skills in the combo that way you get the most time possible were the monster may be in a flinched state.

I don't know why I thought motion speed... Do they have another skill that does that? Flinching is nice xD. Sadly Knuckles have a couple long animation skills so I don't think I ever do a full 5 skill combo lol.

Unless there is one in lvl3 skills. But all thats for buffs up threw lvl 2 is astute with its +25% crt rate and trigger slash with increased mp regen on attack tell next skill is activated.
