"no one ever wanna pt with a claw monk" thats because most monks rely to much on evasion... i rely more on hp than most monks do... hp with damage set is 10.5k... hp with hp set is 24.5k... you have no idea how much fun i can have with a bishop on hand... unlike an evasion monk, im helpful in a pt as a tank. WATCH ME BURN THAT DISCRIMINATION ALIVE!!!! yes testament is expensive, untill i get my hands on one im using a sion for my hp set. testament will give me a 3.1k heal 15% of the time with my current stats... thats a lot. testament doesnt absorb damage, your thinking of judgement claw testament recovers hp, judgement negates/absorbs cherry blossom up DEF: 20-21 MaxHP + 12% during the heel received + 10% abnormal resistance + 25% item recovery + 10% MaxMP-8% ASPD-10% attack, damage absorption obtained with a probability: guild raid against lottery strengthening sale price: Remarks: DEF = numerical value of Ouka large-flowered +5 fixed Idealsol: Max HP +20% Melee R +5% Fire R -20% Damage cut chance by defense DEF up based on Lv i think i choose idealsol over cherry blossom up You really cant consider a monk as a tank.... monks are dps regardless of what build(claw/throw), even a claw monk can deal 100k geobreak on some bosses and we have such a skill called "SHELL BREAK" the only thing is that only few get the role of monks on pt so we are mostly neglected(for claw build, but throw type easier to find pt). From what i see you misunderstood the role of a Tank. Tanks are those who generate/keep hate while pt f*cks bosses/mobs. P.S. *im just clarifying things, i dont intend to make war out this comment. monks naturally generate hate quickly, thus they are able to tank with the right build. i tank and kill bosses such as vida with only a bishop to back me up.

I dont want this to be an argument but bishops dont generate much hate on bosses due to dmg cut of nemesis but i might be wrong ^_^ but from my experience with a standard pt of bish/Hw/monk/paladin or mins, its either the paladin who holds aggro while sometimes hw steal hate due to spam/dmg

Spam res, spam healing and counters work wonders lol. Monk on the other hand idk lol. I think I recall pt a monk that handled 2 h.wiz and my bish when tanking. He might have had a ton of hate gear on though.

Monks can kinda keep hate. I will agree that being able to duo with a Bishop and not losing hate to them doesn't really qualify a class as a tank though lol.
Monks are kinda like....Psuedo-tanks. With the right setup they can do kinda okay at it but they aren't anywhere near the best at it. Claw Monks are in too much of an in between state rate now. They do mediocre damage(don't say they don't, this is true, you will not come close to Sniper, Gladiator, Assassin, or a Geo Monk with similar gear. You just won't) and have pretty decent survivability but don't have fantastic hate generation.
Also an Hwiz with bad or mediocre gear or at a lower level is pretty easy to keep hate from. When you get the ones that do 200k+ Imperial Rays then you can start to have a problem lol. Bishops only really generate a lot of hate when they want to. It's been a long time since I've lost hate to a Bishop on my Enchanter.

Here is a claw monk guide made by yours truly xD build: first do max agi next do max crt after that do vit till have 10k hp with your end game attack equipment set.. around 121 for me if i didnt have separation arrow(hp-10%) going next max int after this you can add more agi in with stat release ai crysta:top and bottom blue right, center and left red Assuming one plans on playing the char rather than getting boosted, caveat that going Full Agi before adding any CRT will make you miss, at a fast rate Those that do land will be primarily White (no crt) dmg, which are pathetic comparatively speaking. Even adding in Hit xtals (yes, I read your replies to Tilt), this will only increase your chance to land hits, but still no crt DMG. For Any Agi based fighter, I always recommend going no more than 140-150 AGI just to reach your respective weapon's max aspd, and then go CRT until at least 200-215 (71-76% CRT rate) which you can add a Tech 4 or 5 to to achieve the 95% crt rate cap, moving going back to maxing AGI. The lack of EVA is not too detrimental especially for a Monk that can heal themselves. Again, this is something to recommend any one who plans to play their char. Obviously, if the plan is to MQ to L165 when you can max two stats then this is moot. As for AI: 1. The 2 matching colors need not be top or bottom, as long as they are on opposite ends; i.e. can be left and right too, while the 3 matching fills the "middle" 2. 2 reds + 3 greens would also work, for more ATK and EVA. 2 blue and 3 red = 2 red lines 4 purple lines, for HP+Def and Auto+Crt respectively.
