Ok so i have a question. After looking at all of the builds for paladin I have yet to see one that even came close to this one what's up with that? Im sure I'm not the only one who was thinking it so i want some advice and opinions if anyone reading doesn't mind sharing. I also have questions. I've sheen people say vit increases Guardian atk, but is this only true if weapon of choice is special sword? Last my reading Guardian the actual skill says (current hp relates the damage) to me I think that means if you hp is at Max you'll do more dmg. I've had a paladin once before traditional build and while farming using Guardian I noticed there was a sort of recoil effect like hw that use eq. As I spammed guardian my HP dropped and so did my guardian dmg. I say all that to ask if my Max hp determines my overall guardian dmg then do I need Max vit to have high dmg. Imo I don't think so but I want to know what everyone else thinks. If you wonder why I ask this it's because I'm tired of seeing the same builds everyday. We know what works well but let's try something just a bit different from the ordinary.. . Right?

You may have difficulties with your survivability with no vit and you probably wont be able to withstand much damage with no vit to protect you from boss/mob attacks. VIT is needed because it provides you DEF and some mdef, these stats help reduce damage mind you is why pallys take the route of having vit. VIT isn't only affected by special swords for attack mind you, knight gauntlet also provides ATK up with swords by VIT. This just looks like an experimental build that wont work if you ask me but you can test it and see how well it works.

That's the same way people thought about geo spamming monks but I'll find out and let you know. But I won't be entirely defenseless. Max int adds mdef and not to say that I'm going for just those three stats as no one thinks the same. I wouldn't say no int but I'm talking lvl 200+ paladin along with status release. somewhere in there vit will be added. But as I mentioned before. Just because the build is unorthodox doesn't mean it won't work.

Just because the build is unorthodox doesn't mean it won't work. I'm not saying that you're wrong for trying this build, honestly I just think that you'll benefit better off with vit rather than to not have it. You can't compare geobreaker monks to paladins lol they're a completely different skill xD And you'll still take the recoil damage from using guardian even if you don't have vit, 2% of your max HP will just seem less. There was this recent gear that could help out with your def problem maybe if you do this build, just came out today its called Carmo Hood VIT+7 CRT+6 Accuracy Rate +10% DEF up by INT MDEF up by VIT. Here's the guardian formula for how it works by the way (credit to miligrito for this) Guardian Lv1: (Current HP x 0.06) + ((((ATK - mobDEF) x 3.8) + (yourLvL - enemyLvL) + STR value + Weapon ATK value + RGN) x (1 x elemental bonus%)) Guardian Lv2: (Current HP x 0.09) + ((((ATK - mobDEF) x 4) + (yourLvL - enemyLvL) + STR value + Weapon ATK value + RGN) x (1 x elemental bonus%)) if you have less HP your damage will probably be based on your ATK but thats too much of a loss if you give up on having max hp for your maximum damage, it is true that your damage will not be stable/constant due to the fact that your damage will decrease by a bit when losing HP but not by much considering pallys have over 100k Hp you'd probably notice 2-7k in changes if the damage is severe. But if you do have VIT within this experiment that just defeats the argument for this build lol as VIT/INT/DEX/STR was already posted as a paladin build in this thread. irunaonline.boards.net/thread/9/paladin-builds

Well aside from losing the ability to tank, and dying often, you will actually end up doing less damage via guardian. unorthodox builds can work, but not all of them.

I see. Guess ill just get to cap and add all 4 skills. Sounds like I'll be better off a tank until later then. Thanks pein and Miligrito for all the input guys. Much appreciated ^~^

Much appreciated ^~^ Ok, good luck and I bet that you will enjoy being a VIT tank rather than any other build. When you get to higher levels and you gear yourself right, you will have so much survivability that the only way you can die is if you choose to die and even if you choose to die, it will not be so quick and easy. You begin to forget that you are capable of dying. Anyway, if you want something different, you might want to be a berserk Pally (I don't see any of them around), which I think is a very viable build now and it doesn't compromise your tanking abilities because you can still full VIT and spam guardian. You can play the role of tank or dps or both and solo boss via berserk for faster grind.
