This is not MY guide, this is an HW all in one guide that I created, completed and updated
First of all, let me introduce myself : My IGN is caporal and i'm a lvl 386 High Wizard and I lovethis class. I started playing in 2013, then made a pause for 3-5 years I don't remember exactly, and now (Half august 2022) I'm slowly coming back.
I noticed that there isn't a real complete all in one guide for high wizard so I decided to create one. Most of the informations come from others great players but I helped a lot. I am online everyday on this forums so i can keep it up to date so feel free to share your tips English isn't my main language, and I'm asking you to not judge this guide on this or criticize it if you find grammar mistakes, but you can help me with them in private. I'll do my best, thanks for reading.
High Wizard (HW) is a popular class. They use powerful elemental magic skills to kill their ennemies. This job is based on the strategy "kill before get killed" . In adition to their magic strenght, they also have a huge magic defense and a lot of AoE attacks , making them a good class in pt and solo. However their main role isn't to tank and they are weak against phyisical attack that why they often need a tank like Paladin or BK. Like Enchanters, they can heal MP, and finding a party for farming isn't hard. They only have 1 buff that can be shared, so it's definitely not a buff class.
Profits :
✦ Can deal huge damage ✦ Can heal HP (around 500 - 900) and MP (MaxHP based) ✦ Have a lot of AoE skills ✦ Huge MDEF ✦ Good for solo / party ✦ Very good MP pool
Cons :
✧ Hate bar grow very fast in boss farming ✧ Weak against physical ennemies ✧ Very expensive equipments and xtals ✧ Long skill delay and cast time ✧ Low HP ✧ Low DPS against neutral / light / Dark ennemies (until level 240)
Apprenticeship Requirement: ✶ Level 120 WizardLevel 120 Wizard ✶ Fire Lance 3 (quest in the church at sofya) ✶ Ice Spear 3 (quest in the churche at sofya) ✶ Mana Recharge 3 (quest from Eludo at kleya) ✶ Thunderbolt 1 (quest from Nesri at Saterica)
Then : Talk to Nesri in President's Office, northeast building of Capital city Saterica.
High Wizard Requirement: ✶ Level 140 Apprentice High Wizard ✶Thunderbolt 1 (quest from Nesri at Saterica)
Then : Talk to King Elbano in the Palace of Elban City.
✤INT for MATK and damages for MDEF for a better heal
✤ DEX to shorten Cast Time and Skill Delay for MATK for a longer Spell Boost for better damages with blizzard
✤ VIT for more HP and survivability for DEF
✤ CRT For Spell Burst Rate
✤ BL and GL for MATK for Magic Pierce for more MP
✤ AGI For MATK (only with some equipments, more info below in build part)
Finally and since we can all reach level 300+ extremely easily: there is only one main build for High Wizard. However, some brave and rich players can afford an alternative build.
That main build is INT > DEX > VIT > CRT +BL / GL
From lvl 1 to 180 : Focus on INT and DEX. I recommand adding 50 VIT for some small tanking. CRT is useless until you get Spell burst skill at level 180.
From lvl 180 to 220 At this point you should have 540 points to spare. So 256 INT (maxed) 234 DEX and 50 VIT Focus on maxing DEX and adding some VIT and CRT until you unlock Apostolia
Once you unlocked Apostolia Focus on overcapping INT and DEX. Don't be scared to add points in BL and GL special stats. It only takes 66 normal levels to cap them.
Add VIT points until you are satisfied. But remember, High Wizard is only a DPS Magic class and can't be good at everything, so I recommend you to focus on your power rather than your survival
Concerning the points in CRT, remember it's only for Spell burst skill. At level 300 you'll get Spell burst lv4 which gives you a base of 40% spell burst rate. Then you get 1% spell burst rate every 10 CRT points. I recommand adding at least 100 points of CRT, this way you'll get 50% spell burst rate, which isone chance out of two to do a critical hit. You'll also get more spell burst rate from many equipments, crystals and ability. A critical hit = 150% damage
The Alternative build is INT > AGI > DEX > VIT > CRT +BL / GL
I really don't recommand this build unless you have a really big experience on the game, you got tons of spina (tens of billions of spina at least) and a Stefly book in storage. Why ? Because this build is based on a few equipments and outperforms the classic build only if you have all of them with 2 slots. Those equipements give MATK based on your AGI. High Wizards were never made to be AGI based, we have no skill based on AGI (passive or active).
Who know how long those AGI based equipements will stay in META ?

Passive Skills
✫ Mana Recovery Increase MP natural recovery
✫ Rod Mastery Increase MATK and MDEF when equipped with a rod
✫ Cast Barrier Reduce damage received while casting
✫ Spell Burst Trigger this passive skill in battle to increase your magic damage. Spellburst probability increases with CRT Autoskill does not affect Spellburst trigger rate
✫ Job Mastery Job bonus is improved.
Buffs
✫ Mirage Reduce cast time and and decreases letal damage to 50%. Necessary skill delay of 5 seconds
✫ Mana Stock Stock up on magic power, up to 3 times. The higher the Magic Stock value, the more damage dealt by a magic attack. Can pierce boss shields. Work only with Blizzard / Thor Hammer / Meteor Storm / Earthquake
✫ Grigori Chance to afflict the enemy with a status abnormality. Probability of status abnormality increases with STR.
✫ Force Boost Strengthens fire, water, wind, and earth magic. Draw out rod's power and strengthen elemental power.
✫ Multi Cast Multiply spells of large magic. Enable you to cast multiple large magics.
✫ Mana Scatter
Active skills
✫ Head Crash (useless) Physical attack that ignores the enemy's defense. ATK increases with rod
✫ Drain Dark element magic attack. Absorb HP from the enemy
✫ Thunderbolt Wind attribute magic attack. May paralyze the enemy. Better damage against water element ennemies.
✫ Earth pike Earth element magic attack. Probability to stun enemy reliant on STR. Better damages against wind element ennemies.
✫ Meteor Storm (AOE) Fire element range attack. Chance to burn enemy. Better damage against earth ennemies.
✫ Earthquake (AOE) Earth element range attack. Chance to paralyze or stun enemy. Better damage againts wind ennemies. Little recoil.
✫ Thor's Hammer Wind-element magic attack that can blind the enemy. Better damages against water ennemies.
✫ Blizzard (PT AOE) An ice-element PT range attack. Hits up to 6 enemies (TBC), with a probability of freezing them Hit 1~6 times, accuracy up by DEX. Better damages against fire element ennemies.
✫ Imperial Ray (PT AOE) Generate a high-damage magic attack based on the skill last used. Applies to certain skills only. High Damage triggers only if this is the ennemy opposite element. DEF up for 30 sec after cast.
✫ Bandernascht Attack with the frumious arm. You will teleport at random. Gives assault buff and regens 20% max mp if successfully triggered
✫ Zero Ray A neutral magic attack skill which can deal huge damage under certain conditions. Cost 40% of your MP Damage decreases 20-25% per use

☆ Intelligence
Leveling nowadays is really different than a a few years ago. So this part may looks a bit outdated, but if you like to play the game the hard way, it's still relevant !
Level 160-200 ▼
Level 200
Earthquake to amass three targets. Use blizzard because they are fire elementals and it will make them slow down. Also use drain from time to time. These mobs drop Dirty Gear which you can either sell for 400k/stack or use in a quest that becomes available when you are lvl 240 and is located in Pilaneza. The quest demands 10 Dirty Gear and for every time you complete the quest you get 760k experience. If you saved the Dirty Gear from lvl 200 to 240, this quest will give you around 5-10 level bonus without any effort. ▼
Level 220+ They are water element, so for best damage, use thor hammer and imperial thunder ▼
Level 240+ Parties want lvl 240+ HW's because of a skill called Imperial Fire (200-300k damage) available at lvl 240. However, if there is already a strong high level HW in a party you can still be of good use and amass three targets with a little help of earthquake. Good party set up : 1 bishop 1 minstrel 1 Hw 140+ 1 Hw 240+ ▼

Basic builds INT>DEX>AGI This is the build for DPS with magic swords: This build is very easy to play. INT and DEX for matk while AGI is used for ASPD and EVA. Your survivability will depend of your evasion.
AGI>CRT>INT This is the build for DPS with claws : Max AGI and CRT for max ATK and max INT for max MATK. Easy to play even at low lvl. Your survivability will depend of your evasion. INT>VIT>DEX>AGIThis is the build for TANK with magic swords :Max INT for max MATK, High VIT for survability - hp, DEX for Hit rate and MATK, and AGI if you have spare points to spend to reach max ASPD. Your survivability will depend of your HP max. Expert builds :
INT>DEX>AGI (at least 300 AGI)>VIT>GLB This is DPS build that more focused at evasion: Make your AGI to 256 and VIT to 170 first for survival and solo MQ, also dont forget add INT and DEX at early level (at least 100 INT and 70 DEX). After AGI reach 256 its up to your preferance. This build has good survival also can dealt high damage and this is my current build. This build can use hiereus full effect.
INT>DEX>VIT> AGI (at least 256 AGI)>GLB This is DPS build that more focused at HP: Make your AGI to 256 and VIT to 170 first for survival and solo MQ, also dont forget add INT and DEX at early level (at least 100 INT and 70 DEX). After AGI reach 256 its up to your preferance. This build has more HP than previous build also can dealt high damage. This build cant use hiereus full effect.
INT > 235 DEX > 35 AGI > 100 RD and BL > VIT This is the revisited build for autoskill ench, it can deal lot more damage. This build is recommended at high lvl by using a stefly's book. However, you can still try it from lvl 15 but it will be harder. I suggest you to st art with 50 VIT, it will help a lot. INT is for matk as our main source of power, 235 DEX is enough for cast time and skill delay, 35 AGI is enough to reach max ASPD with RD and BL. This build have to use 6 purple line in apostolia ( 3 red AL xtal + 2 blue AL xtal). RD and BL will give a lot of autoskill, HP max, critical rate and will give enough ASPD to reach the max. ◎ Enchanter Magic Blade ◎

This is not MY guide, this is an Monk all in one guide that I created, completed and updatedMain Informations by crazyket (I think she doesn't have the time to update her guide) , Takarra, caporal , Royal, ManaKhe , 'AhSaN' and other players
First of all, let me introduce myself : My IGN is caporal and i'm a lvl 352 High Wizard playing since beta. I noticed that monks didn't have an updated guide, so I decided to create one. I have an monk lvl 260 don't worry. Of course I'm not a pro monk but I have some knowledge and a lot of information will not be from me, but maybe you. As you may noticed, english isn't my main language, and I'm asking you to not judge this guide on this or criticize it if you find grammar mistakes, but you can help me with them in private. I'll do my best, thanks for reading.
{ } What is a Monk ? Monk is a melee class from the mage section. There are mainly two types of monks,
1)Claw Monk 2)Geo Monk Claw Monk : They use claws and tend to play solo rather than in Party. They aren't tanks but they are alright tank with good gear.They attack faster than other classes and have a higher chance of breaking enemy shields. They are from Mage tree so they can heal other players.They might be weak if not enough MaxHP or EVA. They have good DPS and funny gameplay and in the future, they will be making combos *^*. They aren't usually accepted in Parties and they're the best for high Defense enemies.
Geo Monk : Geo Monks usually use throwing, rods or special claws and are Party reliant. They are pure DPS and they spam Geo Breaker so they deal the most Damage in terms of DPS. Since they have very high Damage, they lack of survivability. And often they need a Paladin or Bishop for survivability. Having a HW to freeze the enemy is a must for Geo Breaker Spammer Monks. They are mostly welcomed in parties but they don't have much chance of Proc-ing shell break, so they aren't best for High-DEF mobs.description by 'AhSaN' { } App. Monk

{ } Claw Monk[ AGI / CRT/ INT]: This is the build for Chakra monk. Chakra is a skill that adds atk by INT. They can also heal more than other claw builds and have a better mdef. They need a lot of EVA to survive, or more Range when farming a boss in party with a tank. They use normal Claw. [ AGI/ CRT / STR]: This is the pure damage claw build, They use Chakra because of the refinement value on weapon, They have the highest damage among all monk builds but kinda weak in terms of MDEF and healing. The reason about this build is adding more firepower. [ AGI / CRT / VIT]: The build for those who prefer tank. Aggro set is then recommanded if you choose to be the tank in a party. Monk Geo Spam:This type of monk are really appreciated in party anywhere. If nail monk are more balanced between survival and dps (50/50) , geo monk are 100% damage 0% survival. They also need a High Wizard with them to freeze the ennemy and maximize geobreak damage. L [ INT / DEX / CRT]: This is the build for geo spam. Quests
There's a lot of available levelling quest in game that you can do but theses are the popular quest back then and now.. You dont need to do theses quests but feel free to do them if you want.
Awaiting the Goddess (ATG) || near Kleya ~ [280,000 or 365,000]
This quest is from Inje Man somewhere.. You can do ATG as soon as you reach lvl 80 without FG until 120 and you're sick of it.
30 x Albrero 30 x Leopard 30 x Ganoschka 1 x False Grecia [optional]
Enemies of Inje || near Kleya ~ [80,000]
This quest is given by Kubron near the moles spot there. You can do this along with ATG once you reach lvl 100 for extra exp.

Naga Quest || Maze of Enzeits ~ [410,000]
Once you reach lvl 120, you can do this quest near Himmel place. Just bring vaccinc for poison, I think, you're good.

Dragnewt Clothes&|| Dragbourg: Immigrant Ward
I did this quest when I was frustrated over the fact that i can't solo megaroche back then and I havent discover the joy of grinding with high ents. You just have to kill the Lutor mobs endlessly and just turn in the quest when full bag.
30 x Rough Hide 3 x Pliable Fur
Dirty Gears || Pilaneza ~ [760,000]
Once you reached 240, you can turn these dirty gears from nommars. Collect stacks of gears until youre back to town and turn them in. You can turn 5 dirty gears but you'll only have the half of the exp.

These are your usual leveling mobs.

{ } 1. Always keep your refinement value on weapon to "+9". It's because Chakra adds ATK by INT and "Refinement value on weapon". So you'll get a good amount of ATK from Chakra by refining your weapon to the fullest.
2. If you're a claw build, it is better to have a Geo Spam set for Party-Play. According to ijus you need -7.5 second skill delay to spam Geo. So why not play in Party too instead of solo all the time? - If you are a [AGI/CRT/INT] Build, you should use normal claws. Having INT in your build will allow you to have more advantage on the delay of Geo Breaker.
- If you are a [AGI/CRT/STR] Build, I'd recommend you to use "Purity Claw" for spamming Geo Breaker.
The Al Crystas which would always be needed are Cheltil, Sauro II and Maelriel. Remember, skill spamming is always better than Auto-Attacking.
3. If you are a Geo and want more survivability I'd like you to switch your Throwing to Special claw and use Asura Aura. Throwing Takes over 20% of Asura Aura on each Geo spam. But Spec claw eat 7-10% of Asura, Thus better survivability.
4. At lower levels you should always wear a survival set untill you reach Mid Level (Lv.180). It's true that Monks die easily at lower levels just because of lack of MaxHP and EVA. So to cope with that situation you must have a survival set. A survival set must have Damage Reduction, HP recovery equipments, packed up with MaxHP +20% Crystas. I also recommend using Aulis Gale, it helps on Evasion. Also, you can use Light Green Egg to survive on boss battles (Especially for Geo Monks). Light Green Egg revives you at 1HP when you die, and thats untill the 10 second buff is when used Light Green Egg (LGE).
5. The Passive skill called Combination, It takes a total of 50 seconds to fill up the combination bar from 0% to 100%.
6. If you want to farm mobs with AoE, you can always use the most wonderful skill called Battle Roar. Battle Roar is an Ambient AoE, meaning when used, you are the center of the AoE. But the problem is that it's range is very small and ypu need to have mobs very near you to target them.
So what we can do is to use "Range+" equips to increase it's range and target more mobs. For this two Phrases needs to be made.
Phrase 1 : Has some "Range+" equipments (Example : Kodachi III) Phrase 2 : Your usual Geo Spam set
First, equip your Phrase 1, the range set. Use this and target mobs around you. Then, quickly change to Phrase 2, Geo set and use Geo Brekaer and finish all of the mobs.
Thats how you can farm Mobs with AoE!
