Here is some info to spam illness using food. If you find another let me know. I hope this helps. ROKOKO-Scorched tunnels TAHL LV 50 -Black jelly activation time 0.2 sec (poison or 2000k hp)
PORT SPARGAS *OOF PLAINS LEPUS LV 158-159-Frozen Nuts Activation time 4.0sec (paralyzed or hp based on lv)
DARKAN-forest of ein*after dragon finstern PICUS LV 139-140-Chicken meat activation time 4.0sec (Poison and paralyzed same time) (Hp recovery base on lv )
DRAGBOURG-Magonza fortress NEKNOTT LV 198-200 -Greenish meat Activation time 0.2 sec Beware this food has random effect (Hp drop to 1,mp drop to1 ) (Stun.poison .paralyzed.blind) PILANEZA CITY -Maze of umberto ep2 VATON LV 196- Pork activation time 4.0 sec (Blind or 2000 hp rec )
about activation time I explain if you equip on shortcut any consumable if your hp is full and if you click the item you can get the status ailment of the item example black jelly if you click alot times even if hp is full theres going to be a chance to consume the item and get the status ailments like poison insted of recover 2000k hp easy way to save consumables but some items have time of activation that means you have to wait to click again to get the bad stat ok I hope that helps all my enchanter friends

You should have posted this in the existing thread "Items to spam illness hit". Adding another thread makes this section of the forum bigger than it has to be.

Well i dont know about you, but I dont like scrolling through 200 pages to find the solution. Not to mention that such information is old and outdated. ✌

Am I the only one who thinks spamming illness is impractical? First, you have to farm the negative buff potions, And you have to carry it around (eats inventory space) You probably need to shortcut it too Next, some potions (if not most) activate by chance Then when you get things done, you do 1 big dmg and wait 30seconds to do it again. The preparation is tedious, the activation is complicated and all of this just to cut a few seconds in your grind and that is only if you do it right.
Per my perception, illness is to remove buff, and grant protection. That is valuable enough as it is. The damage is just a bonus. e

Except Magic Blade does almost as much damage as Illness Hit and has a slightly shorter delay in my current DPS set unless I am using Spell Boost(which is a pain and doesn't boost my damage all that much anymore). The only use I can think of for it is to Paralyze bosses but even that is really impractical since you can still only do it every 30 seconds.

This is a reason why having another post is bad. In the first one, we all were discussing the problem of only being able to use every 30 seconds; there was a solution given as to bypass that. Though I guess I will have to repeat myself here, since people don't scroll anymore. To bypass the 30 seconds of being immune to the status, carry a vaccine with you. It resets the command of the resistance (poison, paralysis, blind) from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. Now as you all know; vaccines do not keep the status from happening, so you can then become vulnerable to that status again. That is when you use another of the thing you used the first time for your ailment, then you use illness hit; then repeat. Also: nobody ever said that illness had to be a way of DPS for anyone since it is so mediocre apparently. But I see this as the best way for me to do DPS until I get some future released equips and such, and the whole process of farming vaccines, and the consumable or healing items that give ailments is not really that difficult, tedious, or long.

Since switching to being a magic blade spammer I've found the only reason I use illness hit now is when a boss has a barrier as it is more piercing than anything else I have (I hit over 20k to vasaria during barrier using dia up). But, in general I agree - it's not practical to spam.. Maybe the damage will get a nice boost for lvl2?

The thing is, not everyone in the game who is an enchanter has magic blade. The grace period between illness hit (200) and magic blade (220) is 20 levels, and people won't likely have the build for magic blade just yet. There are reasons some people use illness hit over magic blade whether it be the low MP cost, or just the ability to paralyze, poison, or blind guaranteed/etc. Also this post is about illness hit, not magic blade, not everyone reading this is lv 220+ (including myself) so it is best to keep these posts as level oriented as possible.

I wasn't speaking solely about magic blade. The point I wanted to make (though not well at all) is that while it's nice to be able to inflict status ailments on enemies on a whim, the damage from it isn't worth attempting to spam it - by level 200 you'll probably be doing more damage by auto-attacking in the time it takes to use it (taking into account using the items). Also it's costly and time consuming in the ailment causing items and vaccines (supposedly making it possible to spam though I haven't tried this so can't confirm). Returning to the original trajectory of the thread though; paralyse and poison dango work well (made from alchemy) as they cause the ailment every time.
