Hi there n.n/
After looking at Tyranull's post about Counter-enchanting, i was moved to take action.. And seriously, i deleted my lv182 ninja. It was worth it. Really.
Well, before starting, all you have to know is that a Counter Enchanter is an original build that doesn't make use of magic attacks at full speed (dps), it fully operates with magical counter-attacks, being more of a tanky type of Enchanter..
-----------------------------
BUILD
-----------------------------
Now to start, AGI is not particularly needed for this build, just because Counter Enchanters are not made to hit fast, but to resist attacks and deal lots of damage when getting hit... However, u can always have a little AGI and use a Scarlet Ribbon if the mobs hit slowly. I'm aware that Scarlet Ribbon lowers your hit and crit rate, but at higher levels it won't be a problem..
Basically the build starts like any other Enchanter, maxing INT before anything else..
Once you have max INT, u can choose between getting a little AGI (like 40-50 if u want to use the Ribbon) or starting with VIT. I recommend a high amount of VIT (maxed may be the best) because you MUST be able to take as less damage as possible..
Once u get the amount of VIT you want (200 may be good enough), you can start adding DEX, to increase your MATK even more, and also your hit rate..
So, to sum up, the build will be INT>AGI>VIT>DEX or INT>VIT>DEX.
-----------------------------
EQUIPMENT
-----------------------------
At lower levels u may need any equip that increases your HP (Iron/Damascus Armor, Miwi hat/Piton hat/Luludi (for healing), Seahorse Bangle) if u want to survive enough.
Now, as Tyranull stated in his post, there is a set that can be used as a Damage Disabler, and this set is:
Judgement / Dragon Mail / Mir Symbol / Lotus Seeds
I tested this set and, as he said, it's a perfect combo for any Enchanter below level 160, because if only one of the two counters takes action, the damage you take becomes 0 (you automatically heal yourself for the same amount), counter-attack, and also recover HP when both counters activate at the same time.
Once you reach level 160, get a decent amount of VIT and learn Stone Skin, there's another possible set for Counter-Enchanting. It goes like this:
Resty Rod / Dark Priest Robe or Dragon Mail / Viola / Any slotted special equipment
This set doesn't reduce the damage you take, BUT, can be of great potential when slotted with the right crystas, as I will state in the next section. You can have multiple magical counter-attacks, with a chance of getting them really powered up with Resty's autoskill (chance of high MATK boost when getting hit)
If the mobs hit slow, you can always switch to any Magic Sword, being Laevatein the best and cheapest (if ns) possible option (Matk+5%, Melee res.+5%, Accuraccy+10%, Water magic autoskill). Dia Espada can be nice, but making 3 hihirokane is not... Seriously...
-----------------------------
CRYSTAS
-----------------------------
The best possible crysta for Counter-Enchanting will be Sofys. This crysta gives the chance of firing a Holy Light counter-attack when being hit. If u can get any slotted special equipment (like Dragonewt Bangle when doing your main quest) this will be the perfect place to put your first Sofys.
The second Sofys (if you can manage to get a second) will be placed in your armor, Dark Priest Robe or Dragon Mail. DPR does already have a magic counter-attack, but Sofys deals a significantly higher amount of damage, and also has a higher activation rate. That's why i recommend Dark Priest Robe / Sofys over Dragon Mail / Sofys. It gives better stats and higher autoskill rate.
Once you get armor and special covered, you can slot your weapon and your additional equipment with any MATK crysta for even higher damage (False Grecia, Beelzetor or Gerust in weapon, Dunkelis or other in additional) or HP+20% for higher survivability.
If you re a little short of spina, Kaiser crysta is always a good option (ATK/MATK+5%)
If you decide to use Tyranull's set (Damage Disabler) you should choose between Ziddu xtal for increased autoskill, or HP+20% for better survivability.
-----------------------------
PROS
-----------------------------
The Counter Enchanter can be really (and i mean REALLY) good at farming mobs, you just have to hit them 1 or 2 times, then switch to another mob, and repeat the process, then let your counter-attacks take them out, always being careful not to take more than what you can handle. This is also pretty good for boss-soloing, as you only have to focus on keeping your Stone Skin active while the counters hit the boss.
-----------------------------
CONS
-----------------------------
There are 2 main 'bad points' in this build.
First, Viola shield (additional) has nice status like MATK+9% and Heal recovery+10%, not to mention the Dark Blast Counter that deals even more damage than a Sofys crysta. However, it will curse you with CAST TIME +50%. In short words, casting spells like Drain or Thunderbolt will take AGES. Make sure you can handle the damage while casting or you will be knocked out.
Second, counter-attacks need you to get hit in order to trigger, so there may be some bosses or mobs that you just can't fight unless you use the Damage Disable set or you're fully tank-equipped(like, umm, a Pally Enchanter? XD)
-----------------------------
TAKING THEORY INTO PRACTICE
-----------------------------
After deleting my ninja and putting a lot of effort, at level 166 i tested my Counter Enchanter with the following equips:
Resty Rod / False Grecia
Dark Priest Robe / Sofys
Viola / still ns (e.e no luck in raids yet)
Dragonewt Bangle / Sofys
INT max / VIT 200 / AGI 40 / DEX rest
12k HP with magic barrier lv2, can cast up to 3 counter-attacks of 6-7k damage, with a chance of increasing to an amazing 11-12k with Resty's boost.
At level 181 i switched to Damage Disabler set:
Judgement/HP+20% (heal ability lv1)
Dragon Mail/HP+20% (vitality lv2)
Mir Symbol/Hp+20% (gentleness lv1, pretty useless for me)
Lotus seeds ns
24k hp, counter-attacks are based on your level (atm hitting 3.520 each) and GREAT survivability. I can easily solo bosses like Mezzaluna, Magonza or Beelzenom, it takes time but with Origin skill and Drain, surviving is really easy.

I hope this guide helps a little n.n just wanted to show my interest in this original class and try to maximize its potential.
Any opinions are welcome ^^ and thanks for reading!!
