first, OH MY GOD MINSTREL EXIST?
yes they do and there are players who play this DJ song mixing class so be gentle to accept these peeps in party. below are given their available skills that significantly increase your stat, you can tell the differences straight.
Humming: recover party's HP & MP. take it as an active bless.
Passionate Song: ASPD+100% and increase your ATK significantly
Life Song: maxHP+100%, increase your auto recovery significantly and increase heal reward significantly. in case you ever wonder what minstrel's auto recovery can do, imagine you are receiving bless recovery with 250+ hp recover.
Wisdom Song: SSPD+100% and increase your MATK significantly
Dream Song: reduce your mp usage to 1 mp per spell with a penalty of around +0.5s to +1s skill delay. (no specific data)
Dragonewt Song: party range attack that is based on your dealt damage. yes. CRT is counted. this offensive skill also crits depend on your dealt damage. if you crit on impact, it'll follow. (dont be confused by white damage it deals. your damage is noticeably high if you crit and noticeably low if you dont)
Nostalgia Song: increase your CRT rate, CRT damage and physical penetration or melee on barrier as you like it. increment is again, significant.
Warrior Song: increase your evasion significantly and increase resistance to status ailment. does not mean you wont get any status ailment but hey, your evasion is high now.
Joy and Sorrow: raise your item healing effect by 10% and recover a fixed amount of HP & MP. will heal recover whichever lowest first until both are full.
base line, all the increment is significant. but mixing songs is the crucial part as you are limited to 2 songs at a time even your cooldown has completed & 2 songs are running. the next song will override 1 of the previous song. below is a guide for song mixing.
Dream Song + Joy and Sorrow
the effect of -20% HP of these songs add up can be recovered by Humming. main purpose of this mix is to recover your MP if you happen to run out of remagic.
Nostalgia Song + Passionate Song
main purpose is to go full force on an enemy ignoring HP & MP. suitable for bosses such as boss colon. with AGI>CRT build, you evade the attack and return the hit with full critical damage. top your full offensive mix with Dragonewt Song. this is not suitable for long-term farming as you are almost certain to end up with less than 100 MP per run which makes you unable to cast any song other than Humming.
Life Song + Joy and Sorrow
is a passive mix for recovering HP. this mix mainly to cut down sit recovering time. by the end of buff, you recovered more than your maxHP.
Dream Song + Wisdom Song
to support high wizard/bishop in an AOE party. again, Humming is used to recover your own HP. this mix is not recommended as Dream Song increases your skill delay which results in your Humming recovers less HP than it first started.
Dream song + Humming
to recover your HP without affecting MP much. delay reduction gear is recommended as this song may recover your HP or may just reduce your HP slightly compared to the initial state. Humming recovers an unpredictable amount of HP ranging from 80 to 300 so its best to counter Dream Song's cooldown so you can use Humming more.
there's a lot more mixes that work but here listed is the basics.
facts about minstrel:
- all minstrel songs consume 200 MP except for Dragonewt Song which consumes 300 MP as it is an offensive skill.
- all minstrel songs also consume 10% of maxHP so the higher your HP, the higher it takes. life song for farming is not recommended unless needed.
- Humming is not a song. it only consume 30 MP and the main purpose is to recover a bit HP to cast a song.
- Dragonewt Song glitches.
- physical type minstrel gain more support from the songs compared to magical minstrel.
things i'm missing:
- things that affect Humming recovery
- equipment with the highest auto MP recovery
- usable builds of minstrel that is not based on JP wiki. i need something that suit Iruna English's environment
- the calculation of Dragonewt Song's damage
- the amount of mob that Dragonewt Song may hit at a time. is it really just 1?
why is this "guide" so lacking?
- this is all i want to type. put some effort peeps. ask questions to the randomly appeared minstrels, translate JP wiki or ask Prayerz because he crossed my mind for no reason so he should be responsible for that.
