I recently started playing Iruna but now that I know its getting a sequal and it not to far off I'm wondering if I should invest in Iruna(invest my time) or just wait for the torma to get released or at least the beta.

Iruna is awesome!
But...toram is even better in my opinion.
Idk...if you decide to play I think you'll find it difficult to switch back to iruna whenever maintenance starts.

I suggest playing iruna for a few reasons. 1. It will allow you to see how the gameplay is, because irunas combat is simplified compared to torams. 2. Iruna and toram field maps are layed out similar, it will get you use to how they are. 3.it also gives you something to do while waiting for toram.
P.S.- Idk what kind of mmorpgs you have played, but if you do not like grinding then these probably wont be the games that you play alot. They require alot of grinding or waiting for exp quests to come out (main quest, scenario quests, ect)

I say if you can read Kanji, and katakana go for it (that or you're willing to figure out through trial and error) but if you're like me who didn't study more vigorously in Japanese language class and can't understand... then you can wait on iruna .__.

Most of the stuff on toram is pretty understable though, like the menus ect have some english. But what I have been doing is taking screenshots of stuff I wasnt sure about, then using a translation app to highlight parts of the screenshot to translate stuff to a rough copy of english when the game goes offline for maintenance, that way when it starts again, Ill be able to "somewhat" know about the stuff I was curious about.

Also thanks for the reply about torma but I have realized due to where I live and when the Alpha is running theres really no way I can play it .

Iruna and toram both do have storylines (main quest) as do almost all mmos/mmorpgs. But your still able to go anywhere in the game regardless of doing the main quest (for the most part anyway). And toram is online monday-friday 3pm jst-10pm jst. Its hard for me to play aswell because the time differnce 3pm jst-10pm jst my time is 3am-10am. So I usually start playing at around 6-7am my time.

Honestly I think it's best to just try it for yourself. If it gets too hard, you can't understand it or whatever, drop it and go back to Iruna. If you like it, then you even have the option of playing both. Personal choice is personal choice.

So I've now played both games granted due to timing and school crap I only got 30ish minutes on toram and 5 hours logged on Iruna I can safely say I'm playing to focus on toram. The Iruna community well great is both nearing its end and it just doesn't have the feel of people trying to beat a game instead it feels like a bunch of people jut playing for the sake of playing. Toram is amazing from what I played it looks like Psp game instead of a early Ds game. But obviously graphics dont make the game and I look forward to a English beta where I don't have to play at 6:00 am.

But how do you highlight text on a picture with google translate? Cause I took screenshots cause I can only understand so much from the menu and skills menu lol
And yeah it feels like toram would be a big restart from iruna. They've improved so much already, and probably gonna do a lot more lol n.n
