Hello! I'm wondering if I should try and super refine my equipment but I understand it's hella expensive and time consuming. I also know that refining weapons gives atk while armor and additional gives def. My concern is about the def from armor and add
Do you guys think that super refining to get additional defense would be worth it for an assassin who's going for a squishy evasion build? Currently my defense at lv 225 is next to nothing and only hits 90+ and I'm not sure how much more defense would super refining give. Also, my hp is super low so even if my defense is slightly higher, chances are these high level mobs/bosses will hit hard

Yes. Very worth it. Each sr on add and arm adds 1 equip def, or 1% melee dmg reduction. Max 20 sr on each add and arm means u got extra 40% melee dmg reduction, adds 18% melee dmg reduction if both is +9, and addtional melee dmg reduction from arm and add base equip DEF.
Pls keep in mind that equip def only reduce melee dmg, not magic.

Usually i use ori to refine +7~+9, use high mythril for insta +6, use mythril untill pass +1~+6.

Ori is actually a decently easy farm. Old man sauro can exchange sauro+ medals for ori 1:1. With a pet you can earn a decent amount of ori relatively quick for free. Now the spina needed to SR is a different story...

I usually just hope high ents drop them when I'm grinding there or I try and get some from advanced ghoulie and they're both really slow. I got only 6 pieces after 2 stks of magic engines from advanced ghoulie the last time I tried to farm some ;( |

100% worth it. For many years I used to think it wasnt and Im not gonna lie,I didnt believe at first much about what they say about the damage reduction with melee attacks. But man was I ignorant and wrong!after seeing what max sr can help you alot now I want everything to be max sr lol. Its super worth it specially for those squishy jobs(My Hw for example) helped alot.
