A thread to rant on about the advantages and cool stuff of my class and build because everyone else seems to rather only complain about theirs.
I'm BlackGhost a magic paladin that's played this game since early 2017 and if there's one thing I've noticed about the magic paladin build is that it is insane. In more ways than one. And of course, I've played as other classes.
As you know the paladin class is known for the highest def and HP stats of every class of iruna online, I've even met pallies with 800k HP ngl (I'm talkin to you jembi). But even among those pallies, the Magic Paladin build which has the lowest base and buffed attack stats among other builds such as beserker build and immortal build, this mgc pally build is a bit too much. The stat build goes VIT/INT/DEX, you'd think it'd have low damage but alas you'd have thought wrong. The build centres around every means of defense unlike STR/VIT/DEX builds and doesn't need as much MP restorers as others and tanks magic and melee attacks or at least that's what they tell you in the guides.
The real power of a magic paladin is strategy combined with equips and MP pool. You see, even while using merely 1 slotted equipment (add and spec aside cause most had none), I stalemated (via time out) Joshuca when he was 110 levels above me by using a combination of skill del, vampire blow and holy thrust with MP restorers. After reading through dozens of threads about fighting joshuca I realized that people usually got one shotted and had to lvl pass 300 to stand a chance (high wizard and alchemist aside).
Of course, what really saved me was my high HP, mdef and def, not an immortal set or berserker or atk build, I was even astonished hearing that most paladins needed to pt to beat bosses, which I've rarely ever done, even if the boss was using the two paladin weaknesses (like that elephant at aqurf town that used shellbreak and burn simultaneously). I didn't even flinch to pauk (that spider with the crazy defense, hp and mdef stats that EVERYONE complains about) thanks to my build (at most I stalemated more than usual).
Even without my strategies dropping between 350k and 753k DMG isn't hard with holy thrust and knights honor, even 32k with guardian, add in skill delay and it goes DPS at 40k-60k using guardian, 190k-250k dps using holy thrust and 500k-700k dps using knights honor, tested against training ground Luna. Each experimented used various equips and conditions that drew out different results each time so estimates are from low to high, also, none of the equips used went pass lvl1 of upgrades, half didn't even use crystas and at no point ignition was used, as in the DMG can go stupid if done right, this was also done when I was lvl280 and uses al crystals that don't enhance stats but gives certain unique autoskill abilities (I also compared my dmg with an amateur aspd beast knight at lvl240 and turns out my DMG wasn't half bad considering his class is almost opposite of mine, which centred on DMG, tho, my overall DPS wasn't as impressive)
Of course I tried using different strategies on other classes like enchanter and beast knight (you know these are heavy attack builds) and even though I could find strategies that suited them they weren't as versatile or as good as the ones I could find for my magic pally (believe me I've spent hours experimenting). Though it did turn up really good "all solves", it was still easy to overcome those strategies if the boss had the right skill set, which, unlike with my magic pally who I only needed to switch around an equip or two to get the perfect strategy for any boss fight. (I had a lot of different equips to test on those alts)
Of course this isn't to downplay other builds, cause a high DPS has its percs ngl and some bosses you don't need tricks with just overwhelming power (though you'd think power is a solve for everything till the boss switches your mp with your HP and all you can do is cry cause the rate cut and DMG cut isn't working). But in comparison to other paladin builds I've seen the magic paladin has to be the most beefy, with certain builds from other classes I'd say otherwise tho (I'm looking at you alchemist, tank enchanter and evasion assassin).
In conclusion after 3 years of research I've found, magic paladin builds are the final bosses of paladins and a good chunk of iruna. Possessing high tier survivability and tanking with mid tier dmg (if done right), high adaptability (if done right) and a good AOE to boot. It is the closest thing to a complete unit in the whole game (which class in iruna is a complete unit anyway?..... Shut up alchemist that's why iruna ain't giving you anymore upgrades).
If you ever choose to come to the magic paladin side I can always give you advice on equips and strategies as well as how the skills work with each other.

Btw my equips at the time of experimenting is:
Genius 1s [Sauro II]
Hihiiro hammer 1s [max HP +20%]
Forte rod 1s [mana wave] (checking potential for matk, it wasn't completely pointless, if the paladin job had more matk skills it'd be too OP, Holy thrust relies on HP, ATK and Light attribute btw)
Eraser
Kirtune sirika
Indigo bow
Debby's talon
Muramasa 1s
Black lacquer (both it and muramasa were experiments to increase CRT DMG for stun parry which worked giving me 16k per parry combined with Certain armors, star abilities, spec equips and adds but the lack of HP and def was a deal breaker but I'm still researching raising CRT DMG for stun parry, the experiment was done before shield mastery and job mastery was obtained)
Ceduro
Xiphos
Fragarach II
Lobamineth
Holy mail 1s [Sauro II]
Licht armor 1s [vampire blow]
Dark priest robe
Schwartz
Knight of honor
Carmo hood 1s [vampire blow]
Zweig shield 1s[mini heal) (of course it was pointless to use that crysta there I was experimenting)
Brave shield
Monty berret 1s
Possession (did a lot of hate rise experiments, got the hate rise percentage to over 100%)
Rucuerdo 1s [assault] (using kirtune sirika and douin talismen to experiment with pierce abilities)
Myrica wristlet
thimble
outrage nail
Douin talismen
Some of the equips are missing and I've recent just sticked to using just 2 weapons,2 armors, 2 adds and one spec (crysta hammer and genius, holy mail and licht (strengthened 2), knight of honor, carmo hood (max strengthened) and myrica wristlet all of these have slots except myrica but the new crysta hammer has no crysta yet)
Side note: spent all those years experimenting and collecting equips instead of lvling and now I'm only lvl300 and broke cause I used all my game cash on tons of equips to experiment ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
